One thing I love about the fall is SOUP! I know that here in SO CAL it isn’t really get cold enough to really need soup right now but I still love it!

Last night I prepared a HUGE SALAD!

  • Romaine
  • Spinach
  • Sprouts
  • Cucumbers
  • Tomatoes (leftover from TacOberfest)
  • 1/2 an Avocado
  • Kidney Beans
  • Mushrooms
  • Topped with fresh Salsa

Along with my homemade Butternut Squash Soup, still tastes as good as the first day I had it. If you missed the recipe, check it out here.

I also had three mini corn tortillas for dipping( would have been better with Kashi Crackers).

So glad to read all of your comments about the Day Light Savings, very insightful.

imageSo my laptop at home is giving me some major problems, it’s old and about time this blogger updated! So I have been thinking about investing in a Mini Dell Book, but I haven’t heard too much about them(when I say I am researching it’s more like my Hubby).

Do any of you have one? What do you think? I would mainly be using it for Blogging and Emails.

Back to work!

I have a Mac and love it. I would never own a PC but they are very pricey. I love soup too

I would not go with Dell. I've had my laptop for a very long time, but it's required a ton of maintenance, and their customer service is terrible. I have a desktop HP which I primarily use. If you want to stick with a PC, you might want to research HP/Compaq ... I've always had very good experiences with that brand. But I'm saving my pennies for a Mac, and I would suggest that for anyone! (Oh ... longtime reader, love the blog! Usually don't post, but I can't let anyone buy a Dell without trying to dissuade them.)

so i have a mac (have for years) and love it. but if you are really looking for a netbook -- ie, a tiny little thing mostly for web/email -- then actually i think the dell would be okay. my husband wanted one and i asked the nerdiest computer guy i know what to get, and he said the Dell v100 netbook. no, it might not last forever and customer service isn't the best, but for just $300 i figure it's not a terrible gamble!

good luck :)

MACS are da bomb! But, expensive and if you are just using it for blogging and email, don't go there.

I like my HP.

That is an awesome salad! Mmm!

I have a Mac desktop as my primary computer, and I'm pretty happy with it. I also have an 8" Dell Mini for email that I take to and from campus and to coffeeshops. The keyboard is really a pain, and it's just kind of wonky...so I definitely wouldn't use it as a primary computer. (Even reading blogs is hard because of the screen size.)

We are thinking of getting a new notebook too. I have an Acer at the moment, and it has served me well for the past 3 or 4 years, but it's time for a new one. We are actually looking into a mac, but that would be quite a big step.

I haven't heard much about the Dell, but my parents both have Dell notebooks, and they have had several problems. I would just do your research, you'll find a great one, I'm sure!

I have the HP Mini and LOOOOOOVVE IT!!!!!!!!! It's my blogging machine when I travel and fits in my purse!

PS. The HP keyboard and mouse pad are why I love it so much. It's so easy to use, esp. compared to some of the other minis I tried out at Costco.

I've been looking at netbooks, too. I'm not sure if I'd go with Dell. Haven't heard the best things about them and I know a few people who own their computers and hate them. Maybe another company with netbooks? :)

HP Mini's may be cute but you have to get a separate CD-Rom to connect to it when it comes to installing programs, or whatever you need a CD for. Otherwise, HP Mini's don't have CD capabilities coz they're too small. Also check on what other attachments, units you may need or comes with the HP Mini.
