Flax Oats+ A Quote to Inspire Your Soul

Good Morning Good Morning GOOD MORNING! It is a beautiful day here in sunny so Cal. I would have loved to ride my bike to work today if only they had a nice trail, and I wouldn’t be DODGING traffic on the free-way!

When I got up this morning my back was pretty sore. I am not sure if it’s from the back bends I did in Yoga last night or Jillian’s Level 3! I decided to take it easy and wait till later to do my workouts. I made Hubby and I large pot of FLAX OATS.

Salmon Sounds Good

Tonight I decided to get a friend to work AKB for me tonight, because my voice still isn’t 100% back! It’s been about a month since I lost it, and I don’t want to risk losing it AGAIN!

It was nice coming straight home and getting straight to business. I did level 3 of Jillian's Shred DVD, and then after Yoga for Runner’s from yogadownload.com.

The Hubby and I made dinner together tonight. He made his vinegar chicken and I made my Smoked Salmon from Costco that I found in the freezer!

I topped it on some red beans, and brown rice. I also had a small spinach, almond, and strawberry salad topped with non-fat poppy seed dressing.

Sure I’ll Model for You!

This weekend has been full of some fun times! Yesterday after my 20 mile run I met up with Hubby and some friends at the Redlands Bicycle Classic, one of the largest Pro/Community Cycling races in the WORLD and it was a perfect sunny CAL day.

11

12

13

They were handing out FREE Chipotle Burrito Coupons so you know where we went for LUNCH!!!

15

I got a HUGE Vegetarian Burrito, I had some major calories to eat!

14

As you can see I was having a bit of trouble eating it….

18

After lunch I met up with Skinny Bride at David’s Bridal to help her pick out her dress, and her bride’s maids dresses. It was so fun, I even got to try on some dresses too:) This whole experience made me want to go home and put on my WEDDING DRESS again, I am sure it will be happening in the near future!

Skinny Bride looked RADIENT in all the dresses she tried on!

1

And so did we..well Sheanna did anyway. I looked a like a little scary.

3

This was Skinny Bride’s favorite:

4

After all the fun modeling, Hubby and I headed out to Dave & Buster’s to celebrate Hubby’s birthday with our HUGE family and friend PARTY. This was our first time at D&B’s, we have been missing out! Hubby and I love playing arcade games, pool, and sky ball.

5

Yesterday was Hubby’s “cheat day” so he ordered some potato skins as an appetizer. Of course I had to have some too:) They were so flippin yummy!

6

I ordered a “Walk the Plank” drink, some pineapple juice and other fun ingredients( I accidently blew LENT). My first cocktail drink sense December!

10

I ordered a Chicken, Apple, Pecan salad, I loved this salad way better then then ESPN’s salad. My Mother helped me finish it:)

7

Here is the best part, they had Karaoke going on that night! So of course after a few sips of my drink I just had to go up:) The Cuz, and BFF Danielle and I when up and did some Christina Aguilera!

8

And the BOYZ when up and did some “Snoop Dawgy Dawg”. It’s kind of funny because it was hubby and our two cop friends singing about being gangsters. LOL.

9

We finished the night with sky ball and dance dance revolution and called it a night! Hubby had such a great time, I am so happy he was born:)

Today was all about relaxation! When we got home from church I took a TWO HOUR NAP, this is a first for me. I was woken up by an unexpected visit by my DAD, he stopped by to say hello. We all sat and chatted for a good 4+ hours and then before I knew it, it was 5 O'clock!

I made a quick trip to the market, and prepped for the week. I am on Spring Break,  so I am working Monday and Tuesday childcare and then I am off until NEXT MONDAY!!! I foresee a beach day coming up:)

I can’t wait to get off on Tuesday night and start the Spring CLEANING!!! Am I crazy to be excited about cleaning?! Hope you all had a beautiful weekend with friends and family, remember tomorrow is a BEAUTFUL NEW BEGINNING to what could be the best WEEK of YOUR LIFE!!!

I can’t wait to do some Yoga in the am and have a big bowl of Monday Oats:)

I Run( 20 miles) So I Can Eat!

Well not really, but I do love to eat after a long run!! This morning my 4am wake up call wasn’t so bad, I must have slept hard, because I thought it was 6am!

2

I went straight to the coffee pot, and brewed up a 1/2 cup of STRONG coffee.

3

I also made the usual pre long run meal, pb on ww toast and added a half of a banana(I knew I would need the extra fuel). I also had half of a home-made power bar.

1

Then I was for my 20 mile run with “Fast Jill”. Jill ran with me for the first 13 miles, and then I was on my own for the last 7. The first 13 weren’t so bad except we ran in my neck of the woods, which means LOTS OF HILLS!!! I don’t mind some hills, but we did way too many! Some people asked how I could run in a brand new pair of shoes for my 20 miler, I know it wasn’t the smartest thing peeps, but if you would have seen my old shoes you would have done it too! Last week I ran in brand new shoes for my 19 miler, and I survived so I thought what the heck!

4

I ordered my normal Asics 230’s, well for some reason the left inside of the shoe was rubbing my outside arch pretty bad at mile 14, I even had to stop and loosen my shoe laces. It felt like the bone was rubbing, I wasn’t getting a blister just a bruise! So I guess it wasn’t the best idea to run in them for the first time during a 20 mile run!!! I am going to switch out the insouls and see if that helps this week, if not I am not sure what do do I only have 3 more weeks until BOSTON!!!

The rest of my run was killer of course, but I felt good at mile 18 and pushed myself to get through it! I was so happy to be done:)

Running Stats:

Distance:20 miles
Time:2:50
Average Pace: 8:35
Calories Burned: 2,635

When I got home (should have taken an ice bath) I jumped into the shower and then made me a PROTEIN PACKED breakfast!

5

I made a Green Monster with all the ingredients above!

6

8

I also warmed up a protein pancake that I had put in the freezer from last weekend. I topped it with Naturally More PB, Fage, and some Cranberry Apple Butter!

7

I enjoyed my breakfast outside, in fact I am typing from my patio right now. It’s a beautiful day today!!!
