September Challenge!

Mission accomplished!! My goal was to get up and out of the house by 5:30, for a sweaty circuit training workout at the gym. I haven’t picked up Jillian’s, “Making the Cut”in almost a month and I am determined to get back on track. The reason I haven’t given the book a full review is because I never completed the whole thing.

I haven’t been sticking to my challenges and that is going to change. I am starting a new challenge this month, the challenge is to finish my challenges!!!

I have gained a nice 4-5 pounds this summer, and I am not going to obsessive over it, but I know it’s because I have ENJOYED the summer with sweets and treats! I know I can get those 5 pounds off in no time!! I think by getting back on my pushup and sit up challenge and doing Jillian’s “ Making the Cut”, I will get back to my normal weight and feel strong for my next marathon.

On to this mornings eats! This morning I made a Green Chocolate Banana Protein Smoothie. I am loving this Chocolate Light Silk Soy Milk! (Andrea understands).

I added in 1 cup of Silk, 1 cup ice, handful of spinach, flax seed, and a banana.

I have dinner in the crock pot for tonight! The crock is my BFF this week!

Still loving my pedicure from last night, I feel so pretty :).

Off to work I go! Half way through the week!!!

Question: What are some challenges you need to finish???

Love the toes! What a nice hubby! Great question, but where do I begin?!? I am like you, I start out really well with an exercise plan, only to fall off after a few weeks or months. I always come home from a run and think, "oh, I will do double the sit-ups tomorrow, I'm too tired!" But then tomorrow turns into the next day and so on! I really need to follow through because I love the way it makes me feel! Happy Hump Day! :)

Lovin those toes girlie! :)

My challenge for sure, is keeping up with my workout schedule even though i'll be super busy! Nothing a little motivation and maybe a treat at the end won't fix right!

Can't wait to see what you have cookin that pot! Love me the crock pot! :)

I have done the exact same thing this summer! Gained weight (lots more than 5 pounds, unfortunately) and NOT sticking to my challenges! I am definitely not giving up this month! I am determined to start shedding some of this weight and get back to my goal, where I had been comfortably for over a year... grr!

Your toes are so pretty!!!!!!! Love pedicures...feels like being spoiled :)

I need to finish my Push-up/Sit-up/Squat challenges too!

I kinda allowed them to slip by the way-side so I got them restarted last night!

You look great either way!

I need to stick with my Intuitive Eating challenge - and only eat when I'm hungry :)

A pedi sounds so nice!! Might have to put that on the schedule for this weekend! My challenge is to focus on school more. I put off taking notes and doing an assignment last night, and I completely regret it now. Today's lunch will be spent doing homework instead of browsing blogs :( !!

i feel the exact same way you do, about getting back on track now that summer is "over" - although unlike you i'm not really sure what to change up to lose the few pounds i gained over the summer. i'm hoping more veggies and strength training, less snacking will do the trick though.

I NEED TO FINISH MY CORE CHALLENGE. i have completely stopped doing core. i just need to find more time to devote to this, i don't like rushing it or forcing it. i also haven't lifted in forever. any suggestions you have to just keeping up with things is so welcomed!

I need to find a new challenge for the Fall. I trained for a century to stay in shape for my wedding in May, but now I need to find a new goal/race to stay motivated.

i have been training for a marathon and recently injured my lower leg, it's getting better but the marathon is right around the corner so i need to decide if i am going to run or not, deal with the pain or move on to the next challenge, decisions, decisions

Getting back on track from summer has definitely been a HUGE challenge for me over the past month. I think I'm finally sinking into a routine, but I'd like to be better about sticking to my weight training 3 days a week :)

Thanks for sharing such a positive and motivated attitude about enjoying yourself over the summer and NOT beating yourself up about it. We can all benefit from your positivity!

Your toes remind me how much I need a pedicure :)! Very purty!

I think I've put on a few lbs this summer also, but no sweat, it's not like we are lazy. They will melt off quickly!

I am actually training for my first 5k!!!! I have ran two days this week and am running tonight. So far I am loving it but my challenge is going to be to keep it up and actually run in the St. Jude 5k. Hopefully by next year I will be running the half marathon!! Any pointers for ?
