Brunch With the BFF
Lunch with the BFF Danielle was so fun!
She was finally able to give me my birthday present :) Isn’t she such a great present wrapper??
This present couldn’t have come at a more perfect time, I just finished my book and have been looking for another to read.
Have any of you read it before?
After opening my present I browsed the menu, I knew anything I chose would be wonderful. I decided to go with the, “Big Fat Greek” sandwich. Eggplant, Zucchini, Chicken Breast, Sundried Tomato Spread, Roasted Peppers, Sautéed Red Onion, and Feta Cheese on a grilled Fococia bread.
It came with the best sweet potato fries in town!! I wish mine tasted this good. I plan on recreating this sandwich soon.
Look at all those wonderful layers…I ended up only eating half and eating the rest later in the afternoon.
We sat and talked for hours and then headed out to shop at Target for some wedding presents and for D’s Haitian little girl (an orphan she has been donating money to for a couple of years now) that she will get to see in a couple days :) I am so excited for Danielle, she is headed out to Haiti on Tuesday to go help out with an orphanage for 10 days. Like kids we played in the toy section for a while, loved it.
When I got home, Hubby had cleaned the HOUSE!! He mopped, swept, did dishes and even scrubbed the countertops. He is AMAZING, best part is he said he did it to “bless me”, man he is God’s gift to me.
I am currently sipping on some Riesling and about to fire up the grill. Hubby and I are staying in tonight, I have some work to do for the Wild West Relay and also need to clean off my computer I have like a billion pictures to organize!!! I am also hoping to start my new book :)
Have a safe and fun Saturday night!!
P.S. I have been tracking Jen and Kath as they are in Blogher ‘09, so living vicariously through them. Is anyone going to Blogher Food ‘09?! I wanted to go but it was all sold out, I am on the waiting list and crossing my fingers!!!

Oh man!! That sandwich looks amazing. One time I went to the gym fully intending on cleaning the bathroom when I got home, and when I got home, my boyfriend had already done it!! I love when that happens!!

Oh my gosh--that present is beautiful. I wouldn't of even wanted to open it! haha I am glad you did though--great gifts too.
Such a sweet hubby--you both are blessed because he has an awesome wifey too. ;)
So hot when the hubby cleans the house. It's such a turn on to come home to a sparkling house by a sweet husband, isn't it? :)
Hey sweetie, did I by chance miss your giveaway winner? I thought you said you would announce it yesterday but I didn't notice if you did or not.
Hope you are having the best weekend girl!
I read that book several years back and enjoyed it! Went on to read a few more by the same author, Enjoy :)!
Yay for fun days with BFF's!! That sandwhich looks delish! Your hubby is soo sweet!
I wanted to go too! But totally sold out before I could get a ticket. Booo!
Oh wow, that Greek sandwich looks so amazing - and anything that comes with sweet potato fries is an A+ in my book.
I wish I could have seen you this weekend, but we must both try to go to NYC next year, ok?!
I've read that book before! The author used to go to my temple. She's a great writer. The plot is a bit cliche but you'll enjoy it.
I haven't read the book, but you'll have to give us a review. Looks like my to read list will be getting bigger.
Good lookin sammie!
i love a good day with a friend and doesn't your hair look adorable!
I always feel like such a celebrity when I'm featured on the BLOG! :) God has blessed me with your friendship!! You are a dear friend for LIFE...love you!
