Make a Difference Monday: WE ARE THE LIGHT!

Happy Monday EVERYONE! A brand new week lies in front of us, what shall we make of it? For me this week is a lot less hectic then the past few, and I am looking forward to that:)

Last night Hubby and I went bowling and had dinner with 5 other couples, it was a BLAST! We were supposed to go to hockey game but it sold out. I think I had more fun at bowling.

Giving the serious bowling face…NOT!

This picture is PSYCHODELIC!

They all look so into the game..

The lovely ladies!

After Bowling we went to Claim Jumpers, I feel like we hit up this restaurant a lot. There are so many wonderful choices there so I don’t mind.

39

I was going to get my usual salad, but I wasn’t in the mood so I went with the Jamaican Sweet Potato. My friend Jeremy always gets this and I always drool when they bring it out!

INGREDIENTS: Tender Chicken Roasted with a Blend of Jamaican Spices and Herbs. Tossed with Scallions, Cilantro Leaves, Minced Red Pepper, Tropical Papaya Relish and Drizzled with Clover Honey:)

This sweet potato was amazing, soft and sweet to perfection! I also loved the Jamaican shredded chicken on top, it was full of flavor and juiciness. I asked for the papaya relish on the side, it’s full of honey and sweetness, I didn’t want to over do it. I finished most of it, oops, it was just that good but brought the rest home. The avocado on the side is from Hubby’s burger.

MONDAY BREAKY

This morning I woke up late, around 7am felt great! My body is still pretty sore from Saturdays run so I had a stretching session with Pink. It felt AMAZING! I am hoping that by tonight's AKB class I will feel a lot more lose and ready to teach. After such a heavy dinner last night I went with a lighter breakfast and decided to start my week off with a MONSTER +PROTEIN!

It’s not green this time:( But it’s still a MONSTER!

The Mix: 1 cup soy milk, 1/2 banana, 1/4 cup of frozen cherries(thanks Kirsten), 1/4 cup of blueberries, 1 tbsp of Natural PB, 1 tbsp of flax seed, handful of spinach, 1/2 scoop of Vanilla Whey Protein.

This was my first time adding protein to these shakes, I am hoping the extra protein keeps me fuller longer. I loved the taste, it had a lot less bitter after taste.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE MONDAY: WE ARE THE LIGHT!

When was the last you wrote a hand written letter to a friend or family member?? Not a text, or an email, or even an IM. I know that technology has made communication with others so instant, and there is no waiting for the post man! It is nice don’t get me wrong, but there is something about a handwritten card or letter that seems so special, don’t you think? I love getting snail mail, it’s so fun to open and read and cherish!

Here is my challenge for you and myself this week, pick 3 people that you love and appreciate and write them a hand written note telling them how much you appreciate them, or even just a note to say hello and that you were thinking of them. I promise it will be a light to their week:)

WRAP IT UP

I am in week 11 of my Boston training, only 4 more weeks to go!!! Only 2 more long runs before the big day:) I am getting so excited, I am planning on a blogger meet up for sure so stay tuned for more details! Also this week Hubby is on a fun new eating plan that I will be posting about this afternoon.

Have a HAPPY MONDAY!!!! Take each minute a breath at a time….

“Happiness resides not in possessions and not in gold; the feeling of happiness dwells in the soul.”- Democritus

I agree that handwritten letters are so much more fun than other electronic sources! i acutally just sent everyone in my family postcards from FL with different covers...they loved them all! esp the gator one i sent to my parents w/ a picture of me taped inside the mouth! hehe!

I LOVE BOWLING! What cute pictures! And I love your denim too Bobbi!
There is nothing like a handwritten note. Especially in this day and age!
Thanks for your positivity!

So fun! I went bowling this weekend too.
I seriously forgot how much fun bowling is and asked myself why I don't do this more often.

Glad to hear you had a great weekend.
