Her Wednesday Workout Tips: Lean & Fit in 7 Minutes!

Thanks for all the snack ideas from last night’s post, I am excited to share them with “skinny bride”. Speaking of Brides here is a picture that my friend Danielle just send me from my wedding of the BFF’s. We have all known each other for 15 YEARS. We all got married in the same year, isn’t that sweet.

Happy Hump DAY –>! Last night I finished off the evening with a new Yoga session with YogaDownload.com I did the Gentle Hatha Yoga #1. I liked how you started off with some deep breathing, it helped to clear my mind as best as possible before starting my practice. My mind was still racing a million miles a minute, so it took some time to wind down. I liked this download for true relaxation, and it was perfect to do right before bed.

Cool Deal Reminder

MORNING WORKOUT

I woke up this morning at 5am to meet up to run with a new running buddy speedy Jill. It is a lady from the running group I joined, who lives just down the street from me. When I got to the local park it was 5:30am and COLD! Good thing I was wearing a ton of layers, because it got very windy on our run. We chatted the whole time, which made the run/HILLS go by a lot quicker. She is one speedy lady, so it sure was a GREAT workout. We ran 4.5 miles at an easy 8:30pace. I was supposed to get in 6 today but no worries, I am sure I ll be fine–>. I am hoping to do some Yoga before I leave for work today, hope I can make that happen!

MORNING EATS

I made one of Gina’s wonderful breakfast cookies again last night, and it turned out beautiful this morning.

1

I added a little more oats this time, 3/4c, 1/2 c almond milk,1 tbsp of almond butter, 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder, chopped pecans, and blueberries. Then topped it off with 1/2 mashed banana with agave nectar and pb. I also nuked it for about 1 minute, I liked it better warm.

With a cup of some spooky coffee!!!

Enjoy your night out with the hub. When we are looking for healthy options, we still with some local favorites (smaller, non-chain places). They are usually good about tweaking recipes based on my needs :)

Hey, check out this site. You can basically just type in your zip code and it will give you a list of restaurants. Then you click on the restaurant and it shows you some of their healthy meals and info on them (such as calories, fat, etc). Here is the site: http://www.healthydiningfinder.com/

    Hope that helps. :-)

There is this great place in Ft Worth/Dallas called Blue Mesa Grille where they have "Spa Choices" that come with Sweet potatoes and asparagus. Southwestern flavor. I also like Jason's Deli and Panera's.

Do you have a Tender Greens near you? There's one in San Diego, but I think there's one somewhere in Orange County too, maybe LA? It's all organic foods, grass-fed beef, stuff like that. I had an arugula salad there that was awesome. It's a really cute place and healthy choices are pretty easy.

You all got married in the same year? Maneaters! You are all BEAUTIES!
Your breakfast cookie looks delicious :)
There are about zero healthy places where I live. But in Portland they're all over the place, so when I go home to visit all I want to do is eat at restaurants!
