George is Back, Foreman That Is!

Tonight for date night, Hubby and I decided to stay in and have a pasta dinner cooked by A La Me:) The bro is working so we had the whole place to ourselves. When I walked in the door I was famished and had a stressful day at work, it’s like the kids knew that they were going on Spring Break and wanted to let me know it! I love them anyway;)

When I walked in I had me one of these. Just One.

I was planning on doing Meghann’s Boot Camp, but I just wasn’t feeling up to it. I wish I would have done it, it would have been a great way to relieve some stress.

Tonight I decided to bring out the George Foreman, this is what I used to cook all my meat when I was single, I forgot how quick and easy it is!

Then I went to the front door and look what I found not one, but TWO packages waiting for little old me! IT MADE MY DAY!

First package: From my Girlfriend “T”  in Chicago, she’s so sweet. Thanks Miss.T!!!

TJ’s organic marinara sauce

Plus the Chicken from the Foreman, I would have liked some zucchini and squash in this, oh well.

I settled with a strawberry spinach salad with chopped pecans and goat cheese. Edited to add: I use a Non-Fat Poppy Seed dressing:)

I tired, I need to go night night, so see you in the morning peeps.

Question: What can you make for dinner with only 3 ingredients???

I love my George Foreman! Homemade turkey burgers are great on it: 1 lb. ground turkey, 1 egg, & garlic salt. Mix together, form into patties, and grill. Yum! And 3 ingredients!

Can't wait to find out what's in the box :)

Do you use any kind of dressing on your strawberry spinach salad?

I haven't used my George Foreman since I stopped eating meat...I need to experiment cooking tofu/soy products on it!

A lot of my meals have 3 ingredients...a veggie that I love on it's own (broc, asparagus) with a starch (sweet potato, yam, brown rice) and tofu, tempeh, or other soy product. I am pretty boring :D

Here's my 3 ingredient dinner: half of a baked acorn squash, cooked ground turkey, spaghetti sauce. I put the turkey in the bowl of the acorn squash and add the sauce on top, YUM!

Bud light limes are delicious. I'm usually pretty picky with beer when I drink it, but I have to say, I love the BLL!

Yum! One of my new favs is baby spinach with a baked sweet potato and cottage cheese! You can add other veggies/fruit and dressing if you like (I like to make it a sweet salad by adding berries, pears, and some poppyseed or honey mustard dressing)

Also AWESOME on the Foreman are portobello caps! I love marinating in balsamic, grilling, and adding peppers arugula and goat cheese + bun

I have been such a bad blog reader lately! But I'm back on the wagon!!

I've never used a George Forman grill! Sounds easy enough!

Hmmmm, a 3 ingredient dinner... what about bread, peanut butter, and jam! hehe.
