Thursday Night Christmas Party

I am back!!! Hi friends I missed you all yesterday sorry for being MIA I was home sick all day trying to catch up on my zzzzz’s! I have had this awful cough that keeps creeping up at night and keeps me awake. Yesterday I finally took some coughing medicine and slept in until 10AM!!! It felt great and I am glad to be back and ready to tackle this Friday before HOLIDAY!

Last night we had our Thursday Night Group Christmas Party!

We all brought Chili or Soup and lot’s of toppings!

I made a veggie chili that was super spicy but yummy!

I had a mixed bowl of my Veggie Chili and the Turkey Chili.

I was pretty full from the chili so I just had one small bar, not sure what kind it was but it sure was AMAZING!

Such a fun night with friends, I love these guys! I can’t believe we have been meeting every Thursday for two years now!


Can’t believe it’s finally Friday, wasn’t sure it was ever going to get here! I have all of next week OFF!!!

I almost didn’t make it out of bed to workout this morning but then I remembered MY FINISH STRONG SERIES! 

20 minute living room boot camp:

  • 1 minute jog in place
  • 1 minute bicep curls
  • 25 lunges on each leg
  • 1 minute jumping jacks
  • 50 basic crunches
  • 1 minute jump rope
  • 25 squats
  • 1 minute high knees
  • 20 chair dips (or until failure)
  • 1 minute butt kicks
  • 50 bicycle crunches
  • 20 chair dips
  • 20 military presses with 10lb weights
  • 15 burpees
  • 1 minute plank
  • 30 second side plank on each side
  • 50 reverse crunches
  • 1 minute mountain climbers

So glad I did it! I also managed to make a wonderful bowl of Scone Topped Oats. I crumbled my home made Vegan Pumpkin Scone on top of my oats along with fresh cranberry sauce and walnuts.

Tonight Hubby and I are having my BFF’s and their Hubby’s over for a Christmas Dinner, on the menu are Stuffed Shells :)

That party looks like it was so much fun! Of course all the pictures you post of parties look like a lot of fun =)

I am glad you got to catch up on your sleep and I hope it has helped you to feel better.

I will give that 20 minute boot camp a try after work today. As always, thanks so much for posting these. It really helps to motivate me and remind me to take that extra time to ensure I am making healthy choices!

Glad you are feeling better!! Sometimes, sleep is just what the Dr. ordered!! The party looks like it was a hit! Love the everyone bring a soup idea! Love the new bootcamp, I'm sure I will be trying it out sometime this week!!

Looks like such a wonderful party! We did a chili bar for new years last year and it worked out beautifully. Hope you are feeling better hun. Make sure to get tons of rest because the last thing you want is to be sick over Christmas!!!! :)

Hey Bobbi! I think its amazing how you've been getting together with the same group of friends for 2 years! Very cool :)
I also just wanted to say that I noticed you haven't had many back exercises in your mini boot camp's. Since you already have weights it would be super easy to throw some reverse fly's or bent-over row's in there to complete the total body workout! Merry Christmas :)
