Pumpkin Cookie

Happy Hump DAY :) !

I am running out the door this morning so this is going to have to be short and sweet! This morning I met up with my running buddies and went for a beautiful 6 mile run. We saw the most beautiful sunrise, love God’s beauty in the morning. My legs felt a lot less tight this morning, but still sore from the race.

Thank goodness breakfast was waiting for me in the fridge.

Last night I mixed together:

  • 1/2 c oats
  • 1/2 c soy milk
  • 1 tbsp AB
  • Cinnamon
  • 1/4 c pumpkin
  • cranberries
  • flax seed
  • a little all natural chocolate protein powder

Going to have to eat it on the run!

Quick Question: I am one of those crazy people who is already busting out the Christmas music and was wondering what are some of your favorite Christmas CD’s???

I love Josh Grobans Noel, Maraiah Carey’s Home for the Holidays, Chicago Christmas and Christmas with the Rat Pack is one of the best!!!

I must make that cookie. Definitely my project for the night! I'm not usually a huge christmas music gal so no suggestions, but anxious to see what answers you get!

Best X-mas CD ever is Amy Grant I sound like an 60 grandma for saying that, but it is a classic and reminds me of when I was little :)

I know this will sound bad, but the Hanson Christmas cd they did like 10 years ago is one of my favorites. You can probably find it really cheap now.

I also agree with Brandi...Hanson has a pretty good holiday cd too!

Your cookies looks wonderful! Question...what is AB? Is it almond butter? I'm going to try this tonight!

As for Christmas music, I can't live without my Amy Grant Christmas albums (love them all), Manheim Steamroller and the most nostalgic to me is Gene Autry's Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.
There was a rule in our house when I was little that I could not start playing it until December 1 because I would listen to it constantly until everyone was sick of it! Can't wait for the holidays! :)

Loving POTM, by the way. It's getting my butt out the door and on the road! Thanks!

Before my grandfather died, he left a ton of Christmas CD's behind. They have all the oldies, and I love listening to Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby

AMY- AB is Almond Butter, and you mix all of this stuff together the night before and then spread it on a plate like a cookie and then stick it in the fridge over night you will love it!!!!

Thanks Bobbi! I'm so going to make it tonight. I'm going to try it with PB2 instead of almond butter and see what happens. Do you know about this stuff? It's awesome! It's basically all-natural powdered peanut powder (ingredients are roasted peanuts, salt, sugar (only 2 g per serving). I add it to smoothies, oatemeal, etc. The only place I know to get it is online but it's worth every penny! It's made by Bell Plantation. Check it out!

I don't think I've known anyone who eats as much pumpkin dishes as you. So many pumpkins in your blogs. Do you have a pumpkin patch in your garden too? LOL

So many of the albums listed are favorites of mine, too! A new discovery I made a couple years ago is the Ultra Lounge Christmas Cocktails CDs - there are 3 of them, and they're jazzy oldies that are fun to have on in the background while you're doing stuff around the house.

Oh my gosh! I started listening to Christmas music two weeks ago - not telling anyone of course. My absolute favorite CD is the Charlie Brown Christmas CD. LOVE it! I seriously hope my husband does not see this because he'd say "that's just not right".

Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers Once Upon a Christmas. No one in my family likes country music at all, but we've had this album my entire life (cassette tap when I was a kid) and it's not Christmas to be without it!
