Black Friday Extraveganza

Black Friday was a huge success and a ton of fun. I know, I know, it's crazy to get up at 4am to hit the stores but when you do it with fun people like my SIL & BIL it is an adventure! Hubby stayed home and shopped online.

The alarm clock went off at 4am and our first stop was Target. There was nothing spectacular to try and get but the first 500 people got the cutest reusiable bags, worth the early rise. (maybe).

********(I had ton of fun pics but they won't upload, SAD DAY)

We shopped our little heart outs untl 7:30am and then had a good old country breakfast at Chick-Fil-A, when in Rome..I had my first chicken biscuit, wow I haven't lived till now:) Along with some fresh fruit instead of the tater tots. After breakfast we tackled the mall! I got some great gifts for my family and the Hubby , I can't wait to put them under the tree :) 8 hours of shopping can be counted as exercise!! We were pooped!

At this point I was ready for lunch, so Hubby and I went to my favorite college hangout, McAlisters' Deli.

I ordered a half an half, Sweetberry Chicken Sandwich and Chicken Tortilla soup. This one of my favorites in College. I love all the cranberry sauce on top, Subway needs to get on this!

Oh I miss this place!

Hubby had on of their new flatbread pizzas. It was on some sort of cracker, It was tasty!

side note:
Because Hubby and I are going to be eating out a lot and I am not sure how much running I can get in I am using LiveStrong.com to keep track of my eating habits, so I can make smart choices and fully enjoy our vacation:) It has been a huge help!

After lunch we decided to cruise around a bit and ended up stopping by Sonic for Happy Hour! I love Sonic's Limeades and because there isn't one close to us I haven't had one in FOR-EVER! We ordered two large Cherry Limeades.

Last night for dinner we made turkey sandwiches and butternut squash soup :)

I used some Wolfgang Puck Soup and then added a fuji apple to it, it tasted comforting and amazing!

On my sandwich I used homemade sweet pickles, HEAVEN!

I also got a lesson on how to prepare DEER MEAT!!!! Ya, I probably won't be making this any time soon.

This morning I planned on going out for an easy 4-5 mile but since we didn't get up until 9AM, I decided to take it easy today and enjoy some R&R. I know that when I get out of routine it is super hard for me to be motivated to do any workouts but, I know once I get back home I will have to get back to it!

For breakfast the FIL made us homemade biscuits, bacon, and eggs. Three things I don't normally have, but shoot when on a Farm one must eat like a Farmer :)

It should be a quiet day here on the Farm, we are planning a big lunch/dinner with FIL and then we are headed back to Memphis!

Hubby and I really want to see Blind Side and I have some friends to meet up with for drinks, this VACATION is in full swing.

Time to curl up to some Christmas Tunes and a good book.

edited to add:
P.S. The POTM Challenge is over! But never fear - we're going to start up a NEW POTM challenge for November 27 to Christmas Day (December 25) to encourage everyone to stick with their goals throughout the holiday season. :)

Please be sure to enter your mileage on the POTM sheet. You have until Monday, November 30 to do so, and then winners will be drawn.

As of right now, it looks like we ran more than 17,000 MILES COMBINED. That is INSANE! And it appears that the average mileage by each participant was 50 miles! As a group, we should feel very proud of our amazing accomplishment. I'll be back with official stats on Monday, as well as details on POTM December.

All that food must be putting your body in different contortions! Bacon? LOL. There's a Sonic around Hesperia about 7.97 miles from Redlands.

Would like to see you in some snowshoes on the snow!

Aw man I forgot about how delicious Sonic drinks are (from MO and living in NY). I LOVE Happy Hour! Also, so happy you are doing another POTM challenge. I slacked hardcore on this first one and I'm declaring December "Get Back On Track Month". So thankful for you ladies and your super smart challenge! Safe travels!

I had no clue McAllister's had flat bread pizza, that looks so goo. I have to see if my location in town has it.
I've always loved the sausage from my Great grandmothers in AL, I just never knew why we couldn't find it in Texas...it was deer sausage. still good.
