So Thankful

I couldn’t be more thankful to all of you! Reading your comments this morning nearly brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for you prayers and support it means the world to Hubby and I. Fires in CA are pretty scary and you never think that it can get close to you, until it does. Praise God we did not get evacuated last night, and it looks like the fires have calmed down. I haven’t heard from my Aunt yet about her house, but I think it should be ok.

When I woke up this morning it smelt like someone had just lit a match. The smoke is pretty thick and the wind is blowing it right to our house. But the fires are gone! I made a yummy breakfast sandwich to kick off my day!

My sandwich was inspired by this this perfectly round tomato from our Garden, our second one this year.

Ingredients: 1 Arnold’s Thin, tomato, spinach, and a little cheddar cheese.  I also had a kiwi on the side to balance it out.

I love me some egg yolk, I rarely have eggs but when I do I love them sunny side up!

I also had a small glass of Chocolate Silk, my new obsession!

Time to get ready for work, no running today the air quality is too bad so I had to cancel practice for tonight. I will be hitting the gym later to do some circuit training.

Question: How do you like your eggs cooked??

Just got caught up on your post from last night! I am soooooo thankful that you didn't have to evacuate! What an awful feeling - and I know I would be a wreck and not be able to figure out a thing to pack!
Enjoy the day and embrace that you and your hubbs and Bosco are safe and sound. I will keep your fam and aunt in my thoughts and prayers today. :)

I never knew you lived close to me ! Seems like all the blogs I read are from woman in the south or eastern side of the states... I live in OC and have been reading about all the fires. Said a prayer for you and your family that are also close to the fires... Hope you have a good day :)

I don't eat eggs much but when I do I like them really runny. I think that's when all the flavor comes out

I have to go with good ole fashioned scrambled eggs!

I am so glad you and your hubby are okay, and I'm happy to hear your aunt is, too!

Whenever I do eat eggs, I eat them sunny side up and I dip whole wheat bread in the runny part. Mmmmm...

I'm so thankful you guys are okay!!! What an emotional evening, ugh! I'm also so thankful that you can rely on God to get you through those rough evenings! Just imagine how terrifying a night like that would be without the support of God!

Glad you all are okay!

I just like eggs...scrambled, fried, poached, etc. Runny yolks are good too :)

I haven't had eggs in forever, I get on a kick and then don't have them again for a long time. I'm so funny!

i totally understand about fires in CA - i'm so glad to hear that you're okay, but my heart goes out to everyone who had a scare.
a couple of years ago, there were fires in san diego in october and i had to be evacuated - it was the scariest thing, since i live near the ocean, too. and when the evacuation was lifted and i went out driving, the air was completely yellow and so frightening. it was difficult to breathe.

I just saw your post from last night about the fire. I am so thankful you did not have to evacuate. I had to evacuate with my grandparents in Heber, AZ for a fire we had in 2002, it was scary and hard to watch them try and confine their lives belongings into a Truck and SUV. My dad and step-mom were also evacuated for the same fire, but in a different town. It is very scary and really helps you put your possessions into perspective! Again, I am really glad your home was safe.

In regards to my eggs, I am very much the opposite of you (although you like your eggs just like my boyfriend does!) I like my yolk to be popped and then I let it sit in the pan for nearly forever. Everyone makes fun of me, but I am very picky about my eggs. I think its a texture issue =)

OMG! I live in Chino Hills and heard helicopter over my house all afternoon! I was cooking and studying so I assumed they were going to help with the LA fires!
I had no idea there was another fire!! I'm glad you're safe and okay! Even if they fires are tamed be careful walking around outside! The air is so bad in Chino Hills/OC, I can not imagine what you're going through!

That egg sandwich looks so yummy, I already know what I am eating after my run tomorrow.

Thank goodness those fires are staying away. Take care of your beautiful family!

I like egg white scrambled best!!!! I don't really like yoke, but if I do it, I cannot be runny...we are opposites!

I just recently started eating eggs again after getting salmonella poisoning from them 3 years ago....so, to say the least, I like them COOKED through (either scrambled or an omelet with cheese and chicken sausage!)
