Fire Updates
" The Oak Glen fire has grown to just over 1,000 acres and has forced 2,000 people out of their homes. The 640-acre Pendleton Fire in San Bernardino County has flared up because of rising winds and is now threatening 900 homes.
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger declared a state of emergency in San Bernardino County, where the Pendleton and Oak Glen fires are threatening a combined 3,000 homes.State fire spokesman Jason Meyer said 2,100 people have been ordered evacuated as the fire moves within a quarter-mile of some homes in Yucaipa.
The blaze erupted at 3:30 p.m. Monday and was 45 percent contained before winds began to kick up Tuesday morning. No homes have been damaged.
All schools in the Yucaipa-Calimesa school district were closed Tuesday.
A few miles away, the 1,013-acre Oak Glen fire was 40 percent contained. It's threatening about 2,000 homes. One home was damaged, but no injuries have been reported in either fire."

Lots of praying going on today, as more people are being evacuated from their homes. The fire is close to our house but seems to be pulling the other way because of the wind....
Today I had a late mid morning snack. Oikos Greek Yogurt, apple slices, cinnamon, and Zoe's Granola. I love eating 5 small meals a day, it keeps me going!!!
I am eating lunch at my desk today, I am trying to catch up on some Athletic Director/Cross County google tasks.

My lunch is a repeat from yesterday, but non the less it still was amazing!! I made another Avocado Veggie Wrap. I use the Flat Out WW Wraps, avocado, Dijon mustard, red bell pepper, tomato, sprouts, cucumbers and spinach.

I'm praying for you guys, Bobbi! I can't even imagine how scary that must be...stay firm in your faith, God will take care of y'all!
Oh wow, are those the closest wild fires have ever been to you? I saw some footage on the news last night and it looks like a war zone. Stay safe.
As for my lunches, I switch it up day-to-day, but I usually rotate the same 5 or so sandwich combos. My fave lunch is either a salmot pattie sandwich with cucumber dill sauce or a hummus/feta/tomato/sprout pressed sandwich. Mmmm!!
Praying the winds don't shift and they are soon able to contain more of the fire!
Keeping you in my thoughts.
And here I was feeling sorry for myself that we don't have our usual crystal blue skies today in CO (due to the smoke from CA and UT), I can't even imagine how scary it is being that close to the actual source! Praying for you and your family, hope everyone stays safe.
When I was in the states for my honeymoon recently I was shocked how many fires there were and how ferocious they can be. I'm pleased you are ok and they seem to be moving away.
ps. I totally want to eat that wrap you made - it looks lovely! I tend to have salads every day for my lunch. Whatever I have needs to be very portable and needs to have a ton of veggies in it!
i seem to be the queen of eating the same things time after time! your lunch looked amazing, even if it was a repeat.!!!!
my prayers to everyone in CA!!!
wow sending good vibes your way! still incredibly glad youre still safe.
for lunches, i do tend to stick with the same stuff day to day unless there's something extraordinary in the dining halls. my favorite is turkey or roast beef with a huge salad -- but minus the lettuce, i can't stand lettuce so it ends up just being a bunch of rando veggies haha
Lots of good thoughts and prayers coming your way! Maybe you and the hubbs should keep those suitcases handy for a little while... :(
I eat almost the same thing everyday for b-fast and lunch! I am a total creature of habit. But now seeing that wrap, I am inspired! My turkey sammy on WW is looking dull!
did you ever post our review of jillian's making the cut? I can't find!! thanks!
Thinking of you, Bobbi! Praying that it doesn't get any closer to you guys!! Hopefully they will find some way to control it!
I pretty much stick with the same thing for lunch.. maybe change up the ingredients here and there... but that's about it!
i stick to pretty much the same things!
Haha I actually eat the same lunch almost every day!
That's so scary about the wild fires! I'm praying for you all!
My lunches are usually leftovers from the night before. If not, it's usually the same wraps or salads over and over!
Hey Bobbi - Twitter has been a great source of real-time fire info too. Here is twitter search for Oak Glen Fire http://twitter.com/#search?q=Oak%20Glen%20FIre
#LAFire and @LATimesFires both good info.
Stay safe!
I'm so happy to see that you are keeping your spirits and hopes high. You are such a trooper and I admire your strength through this all.
I love your lunch! I try to switch it up but I usualy rotate the solid 3- Salads, Wraps, Soups (of course with many different variations).
Take care darling!
since I am traveling, I'm just getting caught up..i seriously hope the winds have turned. My aunt is in your area, so I will be checking in with her!
I used to eat the same thing for lunch all the time, then I started mixing it up...right now I'm sort of missing the consistency
I try to switch up lunch but I really am fine with having the same lunch 2-3X in a row! a turkey sandwich and yogurt and fruit!
I will keep you in my thoughts tonight. I hope that all works out for you, your husband and Bosco. That is awful what the people of California are gong through. Good luck.
Bobbi, I am thinking about you!!! keep praying and I am sure everything will be ok!
My thoughts are with all of you! I can't imagine what that must be like. As for lunch, I eat a lot of hugh jass salads made of randoms from the fridge and I eat lots of stir-fries made with frozen veggies, spinach, chick'n and my own sauce creations.
I often eat the same thing for lunch too because it's easier than trying to think of something new every day when I'm busy with work and such! I love Flatout wraps too....usually with turkey and lettuce and cheese or salsa!
