Shake and Bake
Thank you to everyone for giving me some great advice on how to help my students get to practices! I think helping them to understand why they are there and getting them excited about being a part of the team is the key. It think back on my cross-country days and I remember loving every minute of it, and not just because of the running. I made some amazing friends and had some life long friendships( the reason Skinny Bride and I are friends). I am hosting a CARBO LOADING party the night before our first meet and I am hoping that this will help us bond more as a TEAM!
Ok enough talk on to the eats! Today was free lunch at work, I tried to load up on just veggies, but this baked chicken was calling my name!! I forgot how amazing Shake and Bake is :).
I need to Shake and Bake some tofu, anybody have any breaded tofu recipes????

Being part of a team was definitely my favorite part about high school! I'm still friend a lot of them today.
I'm actually making some breaded tofu tonight! I bought some firm tofu and I'm just dipping it in bread crumbs and adding my own spices. 400F FOR 15 minutes
Dip the tofu in water before the bread crumbs Bobbi
Omg I haven't had shake n bake in so long...looks really good!
Mmmmm... breaded chicken!
I would dip the tofu in egg whites and then coat in bread crumbs. Then bake! YUM! You can also mix the bread crumbs with spices.
I haven't had shake & bake in years! I really need to try it out again, thanks for the suggestion!

Oh my, I have the best recipe for breaded Tofu!
It's a coconut encrusted tofu.
All you do is season the tofu with salt, pepper and red pepper flakes, dip it in egg white and then dredge in a mix of panko, cocnut and parsley. I drizzle a little maple syrup on top and bake for about 20 min. AMAZING STUFF!!!
Or, you could also try buffalo breaded tofu. I've done this too and its equally incredible. Just marinate the tofu in buffalo or hot sauce and then dredge in panko with some salt, pepper and garlic powder.
oooh! if you find and test a delish shake and bake tofu recipe, please tell me!
Shake and bake will always make me think of Talladaga Nights!
Looks super good! My mom used to make shake and bake and I was the queen of the shaking part!
What a great free lunch, usually free lunches don't include a single veggie or healthy element!
I like your idea of team bonding, definetely morale boosting!
