Enjoy Today!
After my 6am boot camp, I swung by Sbux and grabbed breakfast and a cup of Joe. This is what I have for my “Cookie Friday”.
I think this is one of the main reasons I could never be a Vegan :(. I just love me an egg sammy!
I have the whole morning to be super productive…
One of the big things I am working on right now is our budget. Hubby is in charge of all of our finances, and I like to help where I can. I can’t wait to share with you some helpful tips and our plan.
Do you have a budget? Who does the budget in your household?
HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

My hubby and I just re-did our budget. We are really trying to save more and get rid of our car notes. It's tough, but so far it seems to be working! I'm a financial analyst, so if you need help let me know!!
We don't really follow a budget. I have found that when we do we somehow end up spending more money.
I keep track of our finances and let hubby know what we have to work with for the month.
I don't have a budget, perse. but entering college I plan to make a spread sheet with all of my earnings and expenses so I can keep on top of all that
We have a "loose" budget. We know our set monthly expenses, like the mortgage, utilities, car payments, etc. I take care of all the budgeting and household finances - my hubby just is not good at stuff like that!
What we try (and have a hard time doing) is budgeting for the unexpected... or even the expected-but-still-surprising bills, like eye dr. visits (holy crap, getting glasses and contacts at the same visit is expensive!), twice annual car insurance premiums, medical bills, vet costs, gifts and party-hosting, homeowners' association dues, holidays, vacations, etc. We try to do an envelope system for each one of these things, put a goal $ amount on each envelope, and do our best to put the money aside monthly for these things, that way when they come up, it doesn't totally take us by surprise and put a dent in our checking or savings acct.
ditto about eggs :)
Oh yeah, we have a budget. Admin Asst salary + grad school student = barely any income.
I keep track of the budget and very detailed tracking of our spending because we have to stick to it. there's just not much wiggle room.
of course i have a budget! i am a college student! i factor in $25 for outside groceries a week and then try to spend <$20 on other stuff. i am usually very successful and end up really only spending $30 a week (and it's usually on groceries that my dining hall doesn't have: yogurt, certain cereals, fruit other than bananas and apples)
ditto!!! i love eggs! scrambled, sandwiches, omelettes,... vegan is not for me:)
Yup we have a "loose" budget. My hubby takes care of the money. We each give ourselves a allowance for the month to spend on what we want like coffee, lunches out or magazines that kind of thing.
Oh man, I wish our Starbucks did breakfast sandwiches. We only have pastries. :(
We don't work well under strict budgets. For some reason it just stresses both my husband and I out if we know we're out of money for, say, gas or entertainment.
We have a budget. My husband created this amazing excel spreadsheet that is extremely involved to create but easy to use. We track everything and I do our finances. We never want any sort of credit card debt so this is a way to aid that goal.
Me neither- I love my eggs!

Envelope System. I'm all about it. It is sometimes really hard to stick to. But it's soooo worth it. We can't go over budget. Well I guess we could, but Matt won't let me! haha Oh and yeah using an excel spreadsheet for other non-cash stuff (bills, gas, medical)
How come you make the vegan comment with a sad face? Don't feel badly about liking egg sandwiches! :)
We follow Dave Ramsey's plan!!!
There's just me, so I'm stuck with my budget. LOL. Although I wish my hubby would do it. Perhaps in another life? LOL. I lead a simple life so my budget is on Excel. The rest is common sense. I guess being Canadian keeps me grounded and practical. But being funny and cynical is okay too. All I can say about that egg breakfast sandwich is "Hoo-Ya!" One shouldn't deprive themselves of such simple pleasures. Life is short! LOL.
Yummy egg sammy!
I do the budget since I am the only one who lives here. It sucks!
i try and have a budget, but i can never seem to stick to it! uhhhhh i wish. i can't wait to read the tips. i love getting advice!
My hubby and I have decided to start a budget due to recent student loans and upcoming house payments! My brother just gave me a book by Dave Ramsey who is a great debt and financial counselor!
Oh yes girl we have a budget. Every dime and nickel is tracked by my husband! We have a spreadsheet with our budget and plans for the future!
Mmm I agree, egg sammies are sooo good!
Can't wait to see some budgeting tips, I'm definitely in the process of learning what works best!
