Taking the Simple Life to the LIMIT!

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!

Today is National Ride Your Bike to Work Day, are you riding???? It’s also time for the TSL participants to turn in their points to me, so I can give you all an update. So email those points!!

Last night I took the TSL Challenge to the limit! My friend Melissa and I are going to start run/walking together on Thursday nights before our Thursday Night Group. So after work, which I rode my bike to, I rode to her house and met her for a walk. We then walked to downtown and had dinner at Chipotle, well she bought hers and I brought mine!

I brought leftovers from Taco Tuesday, and had Melissa get me a bowl:) It was just like I was eating Chipotle but FREE!!!! Of course we ate outside.

It was such a nice day!

After dinner we headed back to her house, it was about a 3.5 mile walk total, and then we carpooled to Thursday’s Group! Couldn’t have been a better Thursday night:)

This morning I woke up sooooo sore from m Kettle Bell Class yesterday. My abs are the sorest, which is AWESOME!!! My abs are never sore, and when you did Kettle Bells, you use your entire core, or box as my boss likes to call it. Some you asked what Kettle Bells are, I am going to do a full post on them this weekend so stay tuned.

I wanted to let you all know that I love all the questions you have been asking lately, and I am reading them and plan on getting back to you all this weekend:) Also I wanted to say HELLO to all the new readers I have been seeing around, I hope that you stick around and keep reading;)

For breakfast this morning, I had a BEACHY GREEN MONSTER!

food 153

  • 1/3 cup of Light Coconut Milk
  • 1/2 c Almond Milk
  • 1/4 c of OJ
  • 1/4 c blueberries
  • 1/2 banana
  • handful of shredded coconut
  • a little wheat germ
  • 1 serving of Firm Tofu
  • 4 cups of baby spinach

I LOVED THIS SMOOTHIE!!! I felt like I was sitting at the beach, it was the best way to start a Friday morning.

In honor of it being Friday, I also had 1/2 of a cinnamon scone from Panera Bread(I got it for free). I so need to learn how to make SCONES!!!!

Today at school we are having a bike clinic and then we are going to take about 50 kids to get some FROYO(I might have to give in). I am so excited about tonight, Hubby and I are going to a Wine Tasting Party!! I have a long run on Saturday morning so I probably won’t be drinking much, but I am also excited about the appetizers and friends!

Last but not least, THANK YOU to all the wonderful folks who sponsored Me (NHerShoes) for the San Diego Marathon! Ashley raised the last penny today and I am signing up tonight!! Thank you goes out to Monica, Kristin, Melissa, Leslie, Sara, Jennifer, Lacey, Janetha, Shannon, and Danica!

I got some training to do!!!

What’s going on for you all this weekend???

i love that you took your own food to Chipotle. I've done that before :)

your smoothie sounds delicious!

fun weekend plans: lounging around the house and enjoying a weekend at home, buy groceries, cleaning/laundry, and reading. A lot. Maybe some hiking if we get a nice day?

My question for today....is it still a green monster when it's more blue/grey?? ;). Enjoy the beautiful day!

We've got a low-key weekend...gym, blogging, sleeping!!

A wine tasting party is such a good idea. I have seen a couple of other bloggers do these. Are you putting it on yourself or having someone come in and do it? My husband and I have considered doing one on our own but I have heard of companies you can have put it on for you and then purchase the wine afterward.
Happy Friday!!!

Bringing your own food to a restaurant is awesome! I did that all the time in high school since we had open campus lunch. My friends ALWAYS ate out and I never did. So I would go with them and bring my trusty lunch bag (his name was George). I got kicked out one time! Some restaurants don't like you to bring outside food :)

This weekend's plans - Costco (yea!), church x 2 (yea!!), food tasting for my wedding reception, and decorate trial wedding cake for co-workers to devour (chocolate this time). Can't wait! Enjoy the wine tasting - sounds fun!!

Your dish looked just as good as anything Chipotle could serve!

I LOVE, LOVE ,LOVE scones. I DON'T need to know how to make them; that could be very dangerous.

I'm so excited for you to run the marathon. You're going to do GREAT!

What a fun way to get in some exercise today and enjoy the weather and the company of a friend! :)

That green smoothie sounds so good! Quick question... do you know how to keep tofu fresh? I bought silken tofu to try in a green smoothie, but I'm wondering how I should keep the leftovers. Should I just put them in a plastic, sealed container in the fridge?

Your tropical smoothie sounds delicious although I'm still too scared to add spinach to smoothies.

Great job!! All that walking and biking is so great!! I wish I could bike to work! Not possible as it is way too far BUT I do take the subway.

I wish my gym had a kettlebell class! I own a kettlebell. DO you know where I can find a good workout I can do at home with it???

Great looking eats as well!!
