Tackling Tuesday

Last night I slept so HARD I didn’t even wake up until my alarm went off, that RARELY happens. I either get woken up because I have to go the bathroom(I have the smallest blatter ever) or because I hear Hubby get out of bed. I am glad that I got that much sleep, because when I woke up I felt refreshed and ready to TACKLE TUESDAY!

I made a bowl of PB2, Banana, and Brownie Oats!

In the Mix: 1/2 c oats, 1/2 c water, 1/2 coy almond milk, cinnamon, vanilla, flax seed, 1/2 banana, and 1 tbsp of PB2.

Toppings: 1/2 Brownie Z Bar, chopped pecans, sprinkle of coconut, and a drizzle of Agave Nectar.

I missed these Z Bars during Lent! They are perfect in Oats, I can’t wait to bring them all back!

24I am currently sitting at a local Cafe planning more of my Boston trip and drinking
a tasty cup of Joe.

I think that it is just hitting me that not only will I be going to Boston for a few days with an old high school friend to run the marathon, but I will also be taking a week off of work and chores! We are going to be staying in Boston, Saturday April 18th-22nd and then we will be driving to NJ to stay with my college roomie and her Hubby until the 26th. While we are in NJ we will be traveling to Philly, DC, and NYC! I have been to all of these lovely places, but my Hubby and Mom haven’t and I know they will love it. I love that the Marathon is right at the beginning so I can fully enjoy the ENTIRE trip.

I am planning a Boston Blogger/Reader meet-up for April 21st, if you are in the area and would like to join us please let me know:) I am currently working on a time that would work best for everyone to meet!

I am also planning to run with LaceyNicole a fellow blogger(speedy) on Sunday the 19th on an EASY 3 mile run, just to get the legs warmed up if you would like to join us let me know too!

People keep asking me, what time I am trying to get for Boston and my response is EASY, I WANT TO FINISH STRONG! No time in my head but just going out there and running smart.

Tonight I am going to do an easy run and then hit up the gym for some weights. I am having fun with little C, I think I would like to birth a 9 year old!! She is pretty self sufficient and a lot of fun:)

Question for the day:

Do you run/exercise for a hobby or for health or for both??

I think I run for hobby, and do weights and kickboxing for exercise.

Interesting question! I think I exercise for health, not so much for a hobby. I do it for the physical and emotional/mental benefits. And also to spend time with my puppy when I take her running. I'd love to find a type of exercise that I can consider a hobby (BF and I are talking about taking up tennis) but I haven't found anything so far.

Interesting! For both, I would assume....?
I also have to wake up during the night! At least once!

I think I run for a hobby and health. It started as a health thing but has quickly become my all-consuming hobby! :)

I mostly run for health. I tried it as a hobby and a ran one race, then I don't know what happened. I'm trying to get back into racing and hope to run another 5k next month!

Your trip sounds like a blast! I love Philly and NYC, and I live in Boston! I hope you've been keeping an eye on the weather, this month has not been very spring-like for us!

Your trip sounds like so much fun!! And your breakfast looks so yummy!!

I think I exercise for both. I think running started out just for health but then I became addicted and now I would say it's a hobby!!

Long time reader, not so often commenter here! :-) I love your blog though, Bobbi! Your oats look so yummy!

Also, that's exciting that you're coming to DC and Philly, too. I'm originally from outside of Philly, and now based in DC, and I bet you'll have a blast in both places!

Yay, I'm glad you're going to enjoy not only the race, but also your trip to Boston! I hope the weather behaves for you!

Being from California, you'll probably think, "What IS this East Coast crap?"

Hi Bobbi!
I was curious about whether you take walking breaks during your long runs or not? Do you just run straight through?
I'll be rooting for you next week!
