40 Day’s of No Sweets Has Come to an END!!!!

The past 16 hours have been jammed packed with food, friends, massages, errands, and running of course. Last night I went out with the girls to celebrate D’s 27th birthday. We went to a wonderful Thai house called Ben Jurang’s. You all know I love Thai food so you know I was excited!

I started the evening with a much needed adult beverage!
This Merlot was rather tasty.

1

We all ate Family Style which means we chose 5 main courses of the menu and shared, so much fun I never get to do this! I always want to try other things besides Yellow Curry, but I am too much of a woos!

5

The Ladies minus me:Birthday girl is giving the thumbs up!

3

My delicious plate of goodness: Pad Thai, Yellow Curry, Chicken fried rice, steamed broccoli, and some Pepper Chicken.

7

The Birthday Girl with her bowl of sticky rice, don’t ask:)

6

I think the Mai Tai might have gotten to her, I love you Danielle!

After we went back to D’s place and had cupcakes, brownies, and girl time. Oh wait I almost FORGOT last night Lent ended and I enjoyed my first piece of chocolate, it was given to us in the bill.

89

Andes are my favorite, so it couldn’t have come at a better time!! They say if you haven’t had sweets for a long time the first time you have it again you might not like it anymore, well that’s a bunch of bologna!!!!

10

D’s SIL made some yummy cupcakes, I refrained(not a huge cupcake fan). I had a brownie instead!!!

11

No I did not eat all that, I ate it so fast I forgot to take a picture! It was the best brownie I have ever had. D’s sister made them with Ghirardelli Chocolate Brownie Mix, amazing! She doesn't cook them all the way so they were nice and chewy and gooey!

I called it an early night and headed to bed at 10pm. I didn’t have to get up at 4am this morning to run I ran with the later group at 6:30am!!! They were only doing 10 miles, and that was exactly what I needed to do. This was my first “late” run in two months!

The 10 miles were ok, we chatted the whole time so that always makes the time fly by and my feet felt ok. Afterward I grabbed some soy milk and a Perfect Oatmeal from Sbux, because I had massage I had to be at.

12

This little drink container is great, you put your protein powder mix in at the bottom(that little blue cup). Then when your ready you just add your milk and shake!

I had a therapeutic massage, so it was a lot of stretching and pulling. It was good just not the kind where you fall asleep and don’t want to get up. After my massage I had 101 errands to run!!! When I finally got home I made myself a quick snack, because we are off to our second Birthday Party for the week, my little cousin Caden’s in a little bit. 15

Yummy tomatoes, hummus, skinny cow cheese, and some FoodShouldTasteGood chips! I hope that this will help me from eating EVERYTHING in site at the birthday party!!!

I still have sooo many things to get done, so we will probably stay low key tonight seeing as we will be at Church and with family ALL day tomorrow!!!

  • pick up ingredients for Easter Party (and make)
  • clean floors
  • clean kitchen
  • clean out fridge
  • clean out car
  • put laundry away
  • prep meals for the week
  • plan Boston itinerary
  • start packing for Boston we leave on Saturday!
  • blogger stuff
  • pick up a gift for someone

I know this is a big list I might be pulling an ALL NIGHTER!!!!

How is your Saturday treating you, any Birthday’s out there???

I'm glad I'm not the only one who isn't a big cupcake fan. They're fun to look at, but always seem like a let down. I'd much rather have a brownie or a cookie.

What do you think of the Starbucks oatmeal? I've been curious about it.

Mmm, that Thai food looks great!

I'm so happy that you can eat sweets again! Great job sticking to your commitment, I'm totally impressed. Now, go eat some more fudgy brownies!

Boston in NINE days? AHHHHH, so exciting!

Hope you are enjoying your busy weekend! Thats so exciting that Boston is getting so close, I literally got chills in my spin when I read that. My high school track coach runs it every year and he says it is hands down the highlight of his racing season!
