Tuesday Time to Feed Your Soul: How About a Retreat?

Morning friends! AKB was killer last night, I could feel it all over my body this morning. It took everything in me to roll out of bed. I managed to make it to pink and enjoyed 20 minutes of Detox Yoga. I need to try some other sessions soon. I love the detox session, because the twist really open my body up.

After Yoga, I made myself another Green Monster.

I haven’t had one of these for breakfast so we shall see if it holds me over….I feel like I need something to chew on to be full, I am weird like that.

FEEDING THE SOUL: HOW ABOUT A RETREAT?

This Friday I will be taking off to San Juan Capistrano for a 3 day Women’s Retreat with my Church. I haven’t been to one of these in years, and am so excited to get-away for the weekend. A retreat to me is a time to take a break from all the craziness of life, and truly relax and be rejuvenated. What better way to do it then being at the beach with a bunch of fun women! It’s also a time to be taken to reflect or meditate

My soul so needs some of this right now after this week of sad news of friends and their sadness.I tend to take on other’s burdens as if they were my own. Does anyone else do that? My soul is very heavy and needs some restoring. I can’t wait to have late girl talks, and just let my hair down for a little while.

Love your smoothie!

I would LOVE to take a weekend or week long yoga retreat. I wanted to do one in Santorini, Greece this summer but it is quite expensive. Maybe in the near future!

I do the same thing with taking on the issues my close ones are going through. I'm really trying to learn that I need to take care of myself and that I can't "fix" everyone. I worry so much about everyone and how they are doing, it can actually be draining.

I want a retreat to a spa where I do nothing but lay around and get pampered.

Hey pretty lady!

Have a great time on your retreat! You deserve a break. I think it is great you recognize that time for yourself is very important. I bet you'll come back refreshed and renewed and ready to go!

I do the same exact thing - I take on everyone else's worries and problems and try to help! That just means you are a wonderful, caring person! (which we all already knew!)

i am sorry your friends are in a difficult place. its' difficult not to get so involved when people you are care about are so hurt.

i've never been on a retreat, but i could use one! i'm like you -- i always absorb everyone else's burdens ... which makes the whole social work career a challenge. i need a break!!! enjoy yours :-)

That's a wonderful and happy picture! I hope you're able to re-capture some of that on your retreat! :)

And as for me I try not to internalize other people's problems. But for me it's more of a survival mechanism because I am criminal lawyer. If I didn't do that I couldn't function!

I have never been on this kind of retreat. I think the last one I went on was when I was a brownie. I love all the social connections you have!

I consider any day away from technology a retreat. As much as I need my computer and technology, I love being away from it for periods of time, very calming!

I totally need a retreat! I'm bummed that I'm not gonna be able to go with you.

"Carry each others burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." - Galatians 6:1-2

Carrying others burdens are sometimes exhausting but you are doing as Christ wants you to do. You are always such a sweet person. You just can't help yourself.
