FRIDAY WORKOUT+GREEN MONSTER

This morning I did an easy 3.5 miles with Jill and Rick(runny buddies). It was a nice easy 9.5 mile pace. We talked the whole time, so the run went by so fast! It’s so weird running the entire thing in the dark, stupid time change!

I came home quickly and made another yummy Green Monster.

11

  • 2 Kale Leaves
  • handful of baby spinach
  • 1tbs of organic PB
  • 1/2 c blueberries
  • 1 tbsp flax seed
  • 1 c almond milk
  • a splash of Odwalla Super protein
  • 1/2 banana

    HARDCORE RUNNERS WANTED

Kristen and I have been Twitting like crazy about a race that we would like to get some people together for. It is called Wild West Relay in Colorado, August 7th-8th 2009. We would love to get 12 runners together to do this with, but we could also do it with 6 runners too!

THE WILD WEST RELAY IS A FORM OF ADVENTURE RACE

“The WWR is an adventure race in that teams are running continuously through the night to reach the finish. Many find the highlight of their experience to be their run in the middle of the night under the stars or full moon.”

The 200-mile course is divided into 36 legs, and each team member runs three times, every twelfth leg, in rotation (i.e. Runner 1 runs Legs 1, 13, 25). Which means if we got 12 runners it would be around 15 miles, if we get six runner is will be around 30 miles!

Ok so who is interested?!!!! I think this would be an amazing bonding experience, and so much FUN!

    WRAP IT UP

I am so excited about this Women’s Retreat, I have been starving for a time of reflection and GIRL time is always good too:) I will not be blogging until Sunday night. Don’t forget to leave a comment here, MYMIXGRANOLA GRANOLA GIVEAWAY there are 3 ways to get your name in!!!! Have a fantastic weekend everyone, live, love, eat, laugh!!!!

Hahaha I am shocked to see you describe a green liquid green! I am, however, a true believer that with food you really have to taste it rather than just judge by looks!
    Have an awesome Friday!

I'd kill for that burrito! I'm so hungry!
Browsing food blogs when mortally hungry is not such a great idea - I'd eat a cow now!

Oooh, I might be in for the race! I am taking a lot of time off for the wedding, so that's my only hesitation...

abby was just asking me about one that is the end of june... I would almost be more apt to do this one because I'm just so afraid of how long it's going to take me to get back up and going. I think it would be super fun... when is the deadline for everyone to decide?

How did you like the TJ's Garden Veggie Lasagna? Gerson didn't care for it but at 290 calories and 13 g of protein, I am in LOVE with it lol. However, we LOVED the Amy's burritos so much, we went and bought more! I will be said not shopping with you this weekend, but I hope you have an awesome time on your retreat! :) Oh! Wed morning, I was down 2 lbs! 38 more to go! That doesn't seem so bad...THANK YOU BOBS!

I ran Reach the Beach last Fall (210 miles in 24 hours) and it was so fun. It takes a ton of planning and coordination, but definitely worth it.

    Bobbi,
Oh my gosh, relay races are so much fun! I've done Hood to Coast twice and both times were amazing. My husband and I planning a move to CO, and hoping to be there before August...our house is on the market, and we don't want to move until it sells

Count me in as a maybe. If we're out there by then, I'd love to join you. Gosh, that means I'll need to start running again soon. :)

When do you need a definite answer?

    Amy said...

Hmmm, that race is very tempting. I want to start doing some destination races. Travel + running = bliss. I just found your blog a couple weeks ago, but I'd love to get in on this, perhaps.
By when do you need to need to have the team finalized?
