Her Weekend Retreat

I am back! My weekend retreat was a BLAST! Thanks for all the kind wishes:) Twas a great time of reflection and relaxation. I got to know a lot more ladies at my Church and spend some wonderful quality time with God. One thing I really loved was the one hour we had to spend in silence! I so needed this, I could have done 2 or three hours!

I did run 13 miles on Saturday at 5am along the beach:) Almost 90% of the run was in the dark, so I tried to stay as close to lights as possible. There were a lot of wonderful trails, sometimes I wish I lived at the beach! What am I saying, I ALWAYS wish that I lived there. The last 2 miles of my run the sun started coming up, so I took this picture.

On the retreat I didn’t take any pictures of food. I just enjoyed everything, but the SWEETS, and there were ALOT of them. Here are some pictures of some of the fun:

What a blast! I hope that I can take all that I learned and apply it to my life….

MONDAY EATS

Well I back to reality, it’s kinda nice, but I won’t lie I loved being pampered. I did get 8 much need hours of sleep.

After a weekend of not being able to control what I had a choice of eating, I was ready for a wonderful bowl of Oats and some YOGA!!!! I missed yoga two days in a row, and I can feel it. I did some Yoga Detox from yogadownload.com, and feel amazing! I also made some yummy Oats.

I enjoyed breakfast outside, it was just to nice out NOT to!

I have fun to do list this week:

  • Hubby’s Birthday Tomorrow
  • Wednesday Meeting with Skinny Bride to go over wedding stuff
  • Write March Featured Fridge Post
  • Send out a goodie package to a fellow blogger
  • Put together Wild Wild West Relay team
  • Staring a TBL Competition, more details to come
  • Running a half marathon+ 5 miles on Saturday
  • Volunteer for the Pasadena Marathon on Sunday
Question of the day: What do you like to do for your birthday, do you like having a party, keeping it low key with family, or heck just not celebrating at all????

I'm glad you had a great weekend!!

Since my birthday is on Christmas day,I enjoy spending it with family! We do go out to eat for my birthday dinner the night before but that is also just family! I don't remember the last time I had a big birthday party!

Glad you had a good time!

Looks like a wonderful, relaxing weekend. I'm especially jealous of your run on the beach.

For birthdays, I like it to be low key. I'd rather stay in with my husband or go to dinner with another couple or a small group of friends. I'm not in to all-nighters or big, crazy parties.

Looks a fun filled girls weekend! I'm also jealous of your view during your run!
My birthday is next Monday and I'm going out with friends Saturday night to celebrate, then Monday I'll go out to eat dinner with my family. Keeping it simple is my favorite way to celebrate my birthday. Oh and with Ice cream cake!

What an awesome retreat! I haven't been on one since I was a teen and in youth group, but they were always such a well needed break from everyday life. For birthdays, I like family ones - intimate and relaxed.

I can't believe I haven't been eating oats every single day of my life. I've only eaten them every once in a while but I am positively addicted now that I have really gotten into it and started mixing in all kinds of fun stuff like raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, PB, nuts, raisins... I've done this before too but never got hooked, now I'm in love with the stuff and super excited every time I whip out the oats!

You're weekend sounds fabulous! So glad to see you had such a wonderful time.

My b-day is actually coming up in a few weeks and I have the perfect weekend planned. My husband planned a big party at the Melting Pot with all our friends on Friday night, Saturday morning we are waking up and going to breakfast at probably the BEST breakfast spot in the entire world. They make the most INCREDIBLE baked oatmeal that has to be one of the best things I have ever consumer. (Oh I can't wait!) And afterwards, we are doing a 10 mile hike.
Perfect B-day! :)

Have a great week!

Glad to hear you enjoyed your weekend. As for birthdays I like to keep it simple with family and close friends. Just hanging out having dinner at home.

I'm pretty low key about my birthday - I'll probably go out for dinner with a few friends, but thats about it. I think this year though, people just aren't going to let me be low key since it's the big 3-0!

That looks so fun bobbi! I think that's one of the best things about church or being a part of some group that meets regularly.
I am so low key on my birthday it is annoying.

Awww it looks like you had such a great time on your retreat! Your run must have been so beauiful!

For my b-day I like to have a dinenr with my immediate family and then just go out with a few friends for some drinks. Nothing crazy. However, this year was my 25th and I may of overdone it! :)

hey bobbi! happy belated to your sweetheart. question: i noticed your hubby doesn't necessarily eat as healthy as you do, which is fine of course. i'm just wondering how you manage to resist the temptations. my boyfriend eats whatever he wants in huge proportions if he wishes and that quicko metabolism just makes it all disappear, and it's hard to not snack with sometimes. advice? thanks! =)

Hey Bobbi! Great photos. I am so glad that you were able to attend and also had a great time. You were an awesome secret sis and I appreciate all the wonderful notes. They truly made my weekend. I have the retreat photos downloaded at my blog...swing by and check them out: http://iemommy.wordpress.com/retreat-photos/

Oh, I told the twins about "making" peanut butter and they are so jazzed. Thanks!!!! :)
