What Music Feeds Your Soul
I made it through my first day back at school. It actually was a very smooth and easy going day. My kids are so cute, they all ran up to me and gave me the biggest hugs:) That fed me soul!
This morning I woke up and was STARVING! I ate a late dinner last night because I didn’t get home from kickboxing until 9:30. So I just heated up some leftover balsamic vinegar vegetables, ww rice, and green beans. I guess it just wasn’t enough. The past two nights I have slept HORRIBLY! I am not sure what it is. Hubby has gotten up at 4am both mornings, and so have I am usually a hard sleeper so I don’t know why I am getting up. I have also had some bad nightmares. When I was younger I had a lot of night terrors, their horrible. I hope they never come back!
So to feed my mad hunger I didn’t even want to take the time to make oats, so I went with an everything but the kitchen sink type of cereal. A little Puffins, Zoe’s Almond Granola, Natures Path Granola Plank, Pecans, Almond Milk and a spoonful of Organic PB.
And an orange, you might see a lot of these in the next posts, our tree is overflowing with them.
GETTING READY TO HIT THE DIRT
The running buddy and I are planning some future runs in the near future, and it’s getting me pumped for training. She found some TRAIL race series that I think sound really fun. The OC Chili Winter Trail Series, February 7th, March 8th, and April 4th. All races are 4 miles, and in a beautiful scenic park in the OC. The trail races, remind me of Cross Country race in high school. Have you ever done a trail run? Do you like them better or worse then road races?
TUESDAY FEEDING YOUR SOUL
I think music is a great way to feed one’s soul. I love listening to so many different types of music, and many of them feed my soul. Chris Tomlin’s New CD, Hello Love is currently feeding my soul. I also love me some Italian Opera, and old hymns. What music feed’s your soul?
After work I am doing some more AKB and then having dinner with the Spencer's. Hope you have a terrific Tuesday, BE HEALTHY and KEEP MOVING!

Have u listened to Matt Maher?? He sings some great songs that are total *Soul fuelers* :D Others I love are Ben Harper- Amen Omen, or pretty much any of his songs...and Ani DiFranco. Have a great day at school and akb!
Oh gosh all kinds of music feed my soul, just listening to an upbeat song lifts my spirits...and then I sing and it's a little scary, but not night terror scary.
I just watched a show about night terrors and it sounded awful. I heard that they usually occur at the same time nightly, due to the sleep cycle so if you can wake up right before that time it breaks the cycle...just what i hear!

Love the extra kids hugs!
I need to find some new music - my iPod music has been the same since LAST CHRISTMAS!
I usually have my daughter do it, but she's slipped in one too many Brittney Spears songs! Looking forward to what others say.
I've been having bad dreams, too. Started on Sunday night. Maybe because work is back on my mind...? The other night I actually woke myself up yelling.
Ew and look at the word verification. "screcat" I saw scaredy cat in that.
The cereal looks great and the pic of your hubs in the back is classic!
bobbi, trail running is far superior to road running in my opinion. only thing is there is not a load of them around memphis. i have done the the sylamore 50k (www.sylamore50k.com) and i've NEVER had a better time running... you'll fall in love with the trails! :)
Love the picture of the Husband with breakfast :)
I've done one trail race and found it much harder then a road race. It was fun and different to run, but not something I would want to run every race on.
I like to go hard when I workout so anything that bumps! BTW I have a workout for you and I expect you to do the 2 mile run HARD prior to the 6 exercises! :)
Oh my goodness I want an orange from the orange tree!!!
I love that the hugs from the kids fed your soul. I am the same way. When I was student teaching sometimes they would say or do something so sweet I would almost cry.
I love Chris Tomlin, and any of the Passion worship stuff....I don't have his new one though, so I'll have to check it out...
I'm laughing because your post instructed me to keep moving right as I sat down to do a mani. :)
Your kids sound great! Awwh!
Sorry your sleep has been so poo poo bobbi. :( That's upsetting!
My music taste is eclectic, but lately I'm RELISHING Thievary Corporation, Buddha Bar, Johnny Cash, Common, and the Coup!
Yummy breakfast! I love all kinds of music! I don't know what I'd do without it!
I'm loving Yiruma's River Flows in You and Kiss the Rain right now. I also love any and EVERYTHING Sister Hazel!
Yummy cereal!!
That's funny, someone at work today was just saying how much they love Christ Tomlin. They said he's kinda like Michael W. Smith but better. I know a couple of his songs (I think) but I've never heard a complete CD. I need to borrow one from someone!! Music does help lift your spirits!!
This must be the week for not sleeping good. Hope you have a good night tonight.
Just wanted to say I found your blog the other week and I love it....and Chris Tomlin too. He has the most amazing version of Amazing Grace that gives me goosebumps every time I hear it!
Right now, a couple of lesser known artists I'm really loving - Christine Kane and Sarah Sample. And more mainstream - U2 and Natalie Grant. Music definitely feeds my soul.
