Work Out Tip Wednesday

Wow it’s already Wednesday this week is flying by! Today is my rest day so I slept in till 7:30, but still had BAD dreams…I think it might be because I am going to bed so late. Last night after kickboxing hubby and I went to our friends the Spencer's. Michelle and Chad are wonderful, and we have never had a chance to just hang out with them. It is one of our goals to hang out more with our friends on a one and one basis, and we DID it, off to a good start. It was great, we had pizza and a Caesar salad. The pizza was full of veggies, bell peppers, mushrooms,olives, tomatoes, and there was pepperoni(not veggie o well). I was starving after class so I had two and a half pieces of pizza and a huge salad.

After dinner we played this card game called hand and foot, it was such a fun game! Michelle and I kicked the boys butt, girls RULE! For desert I had 2 Peppermint Joe, Joes, and a cup of black decaf espresso.

For breakfast this morning, I made a warm bowl of pumpkin oats, it’s about time!

Combo:

½ c of oats
3/4 cup almond milk
½ c H2O
¼ c of pumpkin
½ banana sliced
1/4 c dried cranberries
Pinch of pumpkin spice
Handful of flax seed granola
Sprinkle of brown sugar
Spoonful of BARNEY Butter!

I got my Barney Butter in the mail yesterday, O how I have missed you!

Why do I love you so much? 

Per serving you get:
More protein than an egg
As much calcium as 1/4 cup of milk
14% daily fiber
8% daily iron

WORKOUT TIP WEDNESDAY

Alright folks the work out tip for this Wednesday comes from Mark Silinas,from Healthy Living Today!

1. 30 squats
2. 15 push ups
3. 30 second wall sit
4. 25 jumping jacks
5. 30 second plank
6. 15 Burpees

Take a 1 minute break and repeat it 2 times!

*modify if necessary!*

WRAP IT UP

Thanks everyone for all of the soul feeding music you posted yesterday, I can’t wait to listen to it! Feeding the soul is such a sweet thing, tonight hubby and I are having our first date night of the year, THIS WILL FEED my SOUL!!!! I can’t wait for Friday I am going out with a bunch of girls to see BRIDE WARS, such a chick flick, hope it’s a good one haven't seen one in forever!!!! Alright I am out here, have a good one!

P.S.

I used my French press today, the best coffee ever!!! WHY HAVE I NEVER USED one of these!

Hey Bobz! I'm sorry you're having bad dreams! :( I always remember mine...good or bad. My mom used to tell me eating fruit late at night caused them so I dunno lol. Just tell yourself to wake up during the middle of them and it makes them go away! I had a bad one last night but I rode it out because it was kind of interesting at the same time. Anyway, I'm gonna try the workout today when I get home from school! I'm on a workout streak and I feel so happy about it. I'm gonna do some yoga right now before class! *muah*

So what are you eating before you sleep? If I eat sugar or junk before I sleep (like a few hours before) it can make me have weird dreams. So maybe try monitoring what you eat in the hours before bedtime.

Or you can have Matt pray over you. that's what I do when I'm sick or scared, Matt prays over me (my matt, not yours haha)

I love that workout tip, cuz I have been looking for somethin similar. Big almond buuter fan. I dont think Im lokoing forward to a Bride Wars review.... but I hope you like it!

Thanks for the workout tip. I might do it tonight even though I already worked out today and did day 1 of week 4 for the push up challenge. This thing is so hard!

Thanks for the recipe..and the Almond Butter is going to be given a try on this send as well! Give the hubby a kudos for the kickboxing! I love hitting the pads! Awesome workout! How was the Burn workout....did you do 3 sets after a run? :) I loved it!

too much hopping in those workouts for the knee today. I will however be doing a bunch of leg lifts and the squats!

Weird. I was JUST thinking how I need to get a french press for those times I want just a cup of coffee for myself at the middle of the day without having to dismantle my entire grind & brew coffeemaker.

Ooh, sorry about the bad dreams. Good thing you have DELICIOUS oatmeal to warm you up in the morning!

Sorry that I've been an inconsistent comment-er. I've been computer-less on and off while at home. I have been reading all your posts though, so thanks for all the good tips and pointers!

P.S. I don't even drink coffee and I LOVE French presses!

Thanks for sharing that workout! The Beau and I celebrated our anniversary tonight with his and hers salads so we didn't make it to the gym. We were still craving a workout so we came home and did the workout without modifications. I will look forward to your tips!
