Make a Difference Monday: All About Meghann

This morning I woke up and went straight to my yoga mat. Even though it was still dark I was ready to take on the morning. I did a hard interval workout on the track yesterday with the girls (loved it), and then in the evening I taught a pretty intense kickboxing class. Wasn’t sure how I was going to feel because that morning I had eaten a very heavy birthday breakfast that had me begging for a DETOX!

This morning’s Yoga in the dark was perfect, helped me quite down my soul, and relax into it. I love it how at the beginning of my yoga practice I am so stiff in downward facing dog, but by the end I can actually touch me heels to the floor!!!! I did another YogaDownload, loving it!

MAKE A DIFFERENCE MONDAY: All about Meghann

Alright I am dedicating this Make a Difference post to Meghann over at The Inner Workings of a College Graduate. She is currently getting ready to train for her first marathon in May, the Sandiego Rock and Roll. I am so excited for her, because I know she is going to love it! I plan on running the half so I look forward to meeting her as well.

Well not only is she training for this marathon she has committed herself to raise $3,900 in support of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society with TEAM IN TRAINING.

Here is a little blurb about her excitement from her blog:

“I am unbelievably excited for this opportunity and invite all of you along on my journey as I chronicle my training and fund raising efforts.I was scared at first at the task of raising so much money, but have decided to not let that hold me back. This is an unbelievably great cause and I always knew if I ever ran a marathon that I would want it to mean something and I know I can make a difference to somebody out there through this.

Now, with that being said she is going to need all of your help to see her through this. She is coming up with some wonderful and creative fundraiser ideas that sound amazing! First off is the blogger bake sale that she will be hosting the second week of February, how fun! I know I want to make something for it and BUY from it for sure! If your interested in participating email her at blogbakesale@gmail.com and she will forward the information your way.

I hope you can find the goodwill spirit inside you to donate a small amount to Meghann's TNT fund.   This will help our friend Meghann, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and the millions of Americans affected with blood cancer diseases.

Please visit Meghann's TNT page and make a small donation.

As soon as I get paid this week I will be donating my AKB funds to her!!!! Way to make a difference in our world Meghann!!!!

I love the picture of your husband at birthday breakfast. He looks HUNGRY!

(And re: yogurt-making--I got a yogurt maker for Christmas, which is basically a fancy incubator with little jars and the "starter" powder that you add to heated milk. It's so easy!)

I can't wait to meet everyone in SD!!! Do you know where you are staying yet, I'm trying to figure out if it's better to be near the start or finish line for the hotel. I don't know what transport is like in SD.
