WRAPPING IT UP

Morning folks, I had planned on blogging last night but after my AKB I had a bit of a fever and felt like CRAP! Before I went to class I was at the local Target where it was a MAD house, I only had to get a few things thank God because the lines were wrapped around the store. I am so glad I am DONE with my shopping, I wish you all good luck who are going out today to shop:)

TUESDAY-FEEDING YOUR SOUL

Well first I will start with the definition of the word Soul:

Definitions of soul on the Web:

So in short the soul is something that no one can touch. It is deep inside a person which no one can  feel or see. My husband once gave me the best comment I have ever gotten, he said, “I love your Soul”. At the time that he said it I didn’t really understand what he meant, but the more I understand about the soul, the more I am so amazed about how powerful that statement is.

So now that I have skimmed the surface of what the soul is, I would like to challenge you all in ways that you can FEED that soul. I believe everyone needs a healthy, balanced life, and a part of that is feeding your soul.

“Most of us make a list every week of what we need to fill our pantry. How about making a weekly grocery list for your soul as well?” I love this statement. It’s so true! It’s so easy, and so much fun! Making a Grocery List for your soul is a great first step toward honoring the needs of your inner self. Have anyone of you done this?

TIPS:

First, give some real time and thought to the activities or things you need in order to continue nourishing a conscious lifestyle.

“Now make a “shopping list” of the things you love, the things your heart and soul need. A morning set aside to garden? An hour alone? A long, hot bath? A half-hour to read poetry? A massage? Fresh flowers in your bedroom? A visit to your spiritual home, be it a church, synagogue, or spot in nature that inspires awe in you? A simple meal and heart-to-heart with a close friend? A trip to a museum or art gallery? A long walk in the woods?” –Green Living

All these ideas are wonderful ways to start feeding your soul, for a healthier and happier YOU!

2 DAY COUNTDOWN!!!!

I can’t believe there is only two days left until Christmas! I am getting so excited, with the scare of being sick last night I started to get stressed about being sick for the Holidays. I could tell I was getting sicker and sicker in class last night. I am so surprised I even made it through the whole class! When I got home hubby was the best doctor got me to take some medicine ( I hate taking medicine) and I felt so sick that he even blow dried my hair so I wouldn’t go to bed with a wet head! HOW AMAZING IS HE! When I got up this morning I felt 99% better! I slept in till 8!! Haven't done that in forever!

I made a yummy bowl of Pumpkin Almond Roca Oats:

  • 1/2 c oats
  • 1/2 c skim milk
  • 1/2 c water
  • 1/2 banana sliced
  • pinch of pumpkin oats
  • a piece of almond roca ( mashed up in a ziplock bag)
  • handful of flax granola
  • spoonful of apple butter
  • 1 tsp of chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons of pumpkin
  •

i agree with andrea- i swear by emergenC. i got sick after running on the treadmill on saturday (so weird-- i started sneezing and nose-running as soon as i stopped running and it didn't stop for 48 hours)-- but i'm already better!!!!

i think if you have a fever DEF don't exercise. if it is only a cold, play it by ear. but if it is the flu or something related you really need to rest!!! drink a LOT of water esp if you are drinking coffee :)

I LOVE THE SOUL-LIST. i would put go read at the library with a latte and just lose track of time. i never do this but i always wish i did.

I like your shopping list for the soul idea. Sometimes I think stuff like that is hokey, but it seems like a good thing to do!

Sorry you're getting sick. It's nice that you have such a good home doctor/hubby.

I'm so sorry you've been sick! It sounds like your hub is doing a great job taking care of you. :) I don't know if it's the right thing to do, but I usually continue working out because I think it helps me sweat it out, too! Take good care of yourself bobbi!
