California White Christmas!

I am getting all GETTY this morning, only 1.5 days till BREAK!

Yesterday was the best day ever. School flew by, and then I fought going to they gym after work but I remembered the HBBC and I made it in! I am so glad because I had an amazing workout. I was going to go to AKB but my class was canceled. I started out on the ET for 15 minutes to warm up, and then I hit the treadmill for a FAST 5k! I debated on whether I should stay on the ET for the entire 45 minutes or run, (because once again I loath the treadmill). But I knew I would get more points if I got in some miles. In order to make my run more fun and exciting I made it a speed workout. I ran the first mile at 9 minute pace, and then I picked it up for mile 2 to an 8 minuet pace. The last mile I speed up to a 7:40 pace and finished in 23:45, not the fastest 5k I have ever run, but it was on the treadmill so I am just GLAD I did it! I don’t know how people train on that thing!

The treadmills at my gym face the outside, and the whole wall is windows. So as I was running I was watching it rain outside, nice and calm, and then it started SNOWING! Yes SNOWING, in So CAL! It hasn’t snowed here this early in the winter in forever. We do live at a higher elevation, but still you rarely ever see snow stick. It made my run a lot more fun. But then I started thinking about how I was going to have to DRIVE in that! After my run I hit the floor did a great 25 minuet medicine ball ab workout, and a little stretching.

TOTAL HBBC: 57.25

When I got done with abs, I got all bundled up to go outside. As I got into my car, I blasted the defrost for a while but I was impatient so I got out of the car and shoved the snow off the back window. I have NEVER driven in the snow so this was my FIRST FOR TODAY! I drove soooo slow…lol..but home was only 3.5 miles away so I made it there safely. Hubby was there to greet me with a hug and a kiss, we both were like 5 year olds ready to play in the snow!

Side Note:

Thank you for all the comments yesterday about hubby and his job situation. It’s so nice to know that people are praying for us, and keeping us in their thoughts. Hubby is feeling MUCH better, it’s like a weight has been lifted off his shoulders! I will be praying for you all too as you are seeking jobs, and other opportunities.

Ok back to our evening. Hubbys softball game got canceled so I didn’t get a chance to wrap any of his gifts but I did get A LOT done! I made my BSI entry last night ( the BSI was carrots), oooo it’s easy and a winner! Check it out:

What came first the Rabbit or the Chicken?

BAKING FOR THE CO-WORKERS

After dinner I was the baking machine! I pumped out 6 dozen of my oatmeal, chocolate, and cranberry cookies to give to all the office staff and my co-teachers at work! I was so licking my fingers and nibbling, whatever TIS THE SEASON!

You are the cutest with your snow play date and the cookies!

I'm hoping the novelty of snow doesn't wear out here in the midWest, but I bet it will. It's so scary to drive in. UGH!

I am so jealous of your snow! All we have is rain and ice which is really icky.

Love the packages of cookies, so cute! And I would be all over those peppermint junior mints, right up my alley!

Wow - you're doing so great on the challenge! I am so loving the weather too. It didn't snow here, but the rain was fun. A nice hot yoga class really kept me warm all night.

I took down my testimony post. I just wouldn't want my step mom to see and hurt her feelings. I really love her. It's just funny to me that they (her and my dad) don't know me at all. I feel like I'm at some pyramid scam sales convention when I'm with them. I want to yell, "yo, I'm walking with Lord peeps." ha ha

Only in Cali do you go out in the snow barefoot!! Awesome!! I am so impressed by your commitment to exercise. I usually can't do it without an exercise buddy but this past Sunday morning I went on a short run near my house (which is the first time in a couple of months since my workout buddy moved to San Diego) and it kicked my butt. My legs were sore for the next three days! Crazy! You're such an encouragement to me!
