Smorgasbord

Oh sweet hump day.

I slept in real late today. It was because I went to bed super late, but I still was hoping to get up earlier. I love getting up early in the morning and watching the sun rise, and feeling the crisp air. That did not happen. No run today, sad but I ll make it up tomorrow for sure. I was blessed that when I got out of the shower this morning my coffee was already made for me (thank you hubby) and then I got right to bfast. I was so hungry again this morning. I had kind of an early dinner with my little brother Jeremiah before we headed out to our study, but then we shared a chocolate chip cookie and I thought that would hold me over. I was wrong.

I have been hungry at the oddest times this past week. I need to be eating more protein at lunch I have decided. At about 2pm I am usually starved and I eat lunch at 1pm. Here is the smorgasbord I came up with from the leftovers in the fridge.
  • lean burger with a tomato bun
  • bran crackers
  • sliced pears
  • cherry tomatoes
  • celery sticks

NOT AN EXCITING MEAL

But my morning snack was one of my favorites!

  • low fat vanilla yogurt (need to get some better yogurts)
  • grapes from my garden
  • sliced almonds
  • vanilla Naked Granola
  • 1/4 cup cottage cheese

All the texture and flavors together was beautiful!!!
Going to have to come up with a fall yogurt snack!

Today is the grand opening of Fresh and Easy and I can't go, it's just too busy today. The hubby so graciously has offered to go for me and grab a couple of things so I making my list:) I have work today till 6pm then I come home to eat dinner for 5.2 seconds, then off to women's bible study. I love Beth Moore so I am hoping that the excitement of tonight will keep me going through the day even though I still have no idea what I will be eating for lunch!

I get hungry at weird times too. And for weird things.
