PILE ON THE MILES CHALLENGE!!

"November 8th 1864, Abraham Lincoln is re-elected President of the United States with Andrew Johnson his Vice-President."

What a fun eventful Friday night!!!
Because I got off early yesterday I was able to go to a hot yoga class at the Yoga Room. I was going to go for a run before, but I decided against it. I wish my running buddy's legs were feeling better, because I miss running with her. The yoga class rocked, I got into some really deep stretched that my body has been crying for! After the class I had to jet home because one of my best friends from High School called me and asked us to join some friends at our rival alumni football game. This is where our two home high schools play each other, we were routing for Redlands East Valley (I know the name sounds like a movie). As a passionate REV alumni I decide to go.

High School FOOTBALL
I got home and hubby had dinner ready which was awesome! I ate on the run seeing that by the time I got out of the shower the game had already started. It was a fun game, nice to be with old friends, and we WON!!!
BFF's sense we were 12!
Funny story behind "BRABIE" I ll give you all the short story. One day in cross-country I was running late, so I just through on some cloths, tennis shoes and went for a run. Well, while we were all running I got really hot so I decided to take my shirt off. Well little did I know that I wasn't wearing a sports bra, lets just say everyone got to see me in LACE!!! lol....so from then on they called me "Brabie"....
This is our we WON excited looking faces!

Hot Tubing Time

After the game, the Bowie's asked us over to do some hot tubing! We were so down with that, both the hubby and I have worked our bodies to death this week, we needed to sit in the spa. We had a very nice time, and on the drive home I conked out.

Saturday Morning Breakfast

Seeing that we went to bed at midnight I didn't think I would rise too early, but the eternal clock was ticking and I rose at 6am. I went straight to the coffee(which the hubby had made for me) and myself a comforting bowl of oats.

The Combo:

1/2 c oats
1/2 c hemp milk
1/2 c H2O
1/4 c pumpkin
1/2 Banana
handful of unsweetened coconut flakes
handful of flax seed
1/4 piece of granola plank
handful of Bare Naked Natural Trail Mix
pinch of Nutmeg
drizzle of Agave Nectar
spoonful of pumpkin butter

and on the side a piece of whole wheat banana bread with some Zap PB! Perfect Saturday morning TREAT!

Today is quite eventful as always. We have two softball games this morning and then were headed off with the Bowie's to LA, to see a UCLA football game. I have only been to one college football game in Memphis, I am excited to see another.

I have a 10k race in the morning, which I can't believe I am doing because I have only run ONCE this week. I need to get back on a running schedule, I don't want to run every morning but at least twice a week would be good. Where is the time?! I think I need a challenge.

PILE ON THE MILES CHALLENGE!!!!

Presenting the PILE ON THE MILES CHALLENGE. I was looking at the Nike website and came across this challenge they are having now until Thanksgiving. Here are the details:

"Soon enough, you’ll be chowing down on scrumptious pumpkin pie, stuffing and other yummy Thanksgiving Day eats. But those delicious goodies may come with some extra pounds. Want to keep away that unwelcome weight? Then join the Pile on the Miles challenge.

Whoever logs the most miles between now and the day after Thanksgiving will be crowned the winner and as a bonus—will most likely keep those unwanted pounds at bay. So, what are you waiting for? Get out there and start piling on those miles!"

Ok I don't have a Nike tracker thingy so I can't necessarily do this challenge, but I thought it would be great for me to track my mileage starting today until the day after Thanksgiving, and I even thought it might be fun to throw the challenge out to you bloggers!!!

So here's the deal, start tracking all of your miles from now until the day after Thanksgiving, and then on the day after Thanksgiving, post your mileage on a comment and you will be crowned the winner and I will even send you a special treat for winning! Not sure what the prize will be yet, but it will be worth it:) I know this is based on honesty so you be the judge of that. I think this will be fun, I love challenging myself, that's what gets me out of bed at 4AM!!!! So who's in??? Have a great SATURDAY and good luck to all who are running races this weekend!

Lacey Nicole-when I trained for my marathon I only ran 4 days a week, and a lot of those days were tempo runs, and speed workouts. I also ran 21 miles on my last long run.

Hmm heard about this from a few people now, so I feel inspired to join! I've got to start upping my mileage for training, so maybe a little competition will help!
