Doing the Duty

This morning I had to wake up extra early for Jury Duty. Can you believe this is the first time I have ever been called?! Actually most of my co- workers got a letter too. Have you ever served on a Jury before? I am actually excited because I was on Mock-trial in highschool and love Law and Order...ok not the same thing but still interesting:)

I did manage to make a yummy breakfast! Egg Sammie:)

I was craving eggs this morning probbably because of my intense kickboxing class last night and lack of protein!

I am really struggling at finding a balance at what to eat when I teach at 7:30pm. When I get home I am ready for dinner, but don't want to eat too much before I workout. Then when I get home It's 9pm and I am too tired to make anything. Any advice?

Last night Hubby and I talked a lot about the future and our goals for 2010. It got me super excited. Can't wait to share! Today as I sit here waiting and waiting, I will be doing a lot of writing for the bloggy!

FYI-I am blogging from the iPhone today!

Three days left FINISH STRONG!!

I've always been a fan of using the freezer. I'll make a meal (that serves a lot) and portion it out & then freeze it. College student's best friend :)

Have you made a larger meal before your class and then heated it up when you get home? I have done that before when I have obligations that occur around when I would usually eat.

I went to jury duty once but wasn't chosen to serve on a case :(

I was so excited though! Most people dread it but I wanted to be on a case so bad!

Oooh I love Law & Order, and I'm pretty sure I'd feel the way you do about jury duty? Which do you like SVU? CSI? or regular? I'm an SVU addict.

Have you tried eating half of your dinner before class and half after? or saving a "snack size" portion for when you get home? Figuring out eating schedules can definitely be tricky, let us know what you try!

I had jury duty once and got on the jury, but it was dismissed soon after it started. It was civil, not criminal.

I read all the time, but I think this is my first time commenting. I love your blog and love your focus. :) Just a quick question - why does it seem like all the blogs are switching to wordpress? Is there something I'm missing??

i've never served on a jury or been called for jury duty (knockonwood) but from what i've heard it's boring. but i hope you get a good law&order style case :)

I always have a nut delight (kind bar) before I go to teach. It is light enough to not hold me down but stays with me for energy. With a great tea :)

I have always wanted to be on a jury! In the back of my head, I know it is probably boring, but I don't care! I blame it on a Law & Order addiction!

I used to have the same problem when I did a 7:15 yoga class - my best advice is to eat a light/protein heavy snack before you workout so that your not famished and dizzy! I'm curious to see what you come up with!

I have ALWAYS wanted to serve on a jury!!! Now that I'm a lawyer I doubt I'll ever get the chance - especially since I practice crim. law! lol

FYI - did you know as a general rule when picking a jury we try to avoid teachers and accountants!!
