Buying Time

We can buy more clothes, more food, more cars, more stuff…but one thing we can’t buy more of is TIME! Don’t you wish you could buy MORE time?!! This weekend I realized something…

I need to figure out a way to spend less time cleaning on the weekends and more time having fun and enjoying NOT CLEANING!

Here’s my plan:

Monday: Bathroom
Tuesday: Dust+Clean Glass Windows
Wednesday: Vacuum
Thursday: Sweep+Mop
Friday: (Hubby does laundry) Counters and Stove..a good scrub down.

I am hoping this helps!!!

This afternoon I had a cup of Cinnamon Apple Herb Tea..mmmm..It was like fall in a cup!

After work I rushed to Cross Country Practice and did a lovely 3.5mile run with the team. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect. We took it easy, because the kids have a meet tomorrow.

After our run I headed over to SBUX a Monday ritual to have Coffee with my College Roomie Jess, well kind of. She called me from Philly and we chatter for an hour, while I enjoyed my snack. Miss HER!

I had a home-made power bar and a cup of Rooibos Tea with honey.

After my Coffee date I taught a mean Kickboxing CLASS! I felt great tonight, I was full of energy must have been that Power Bar ;)

Dinner was simple and delicious! A bowl of Cinnamon Puffins, nanner, almond milk, and Barney Butter.

Time to hit the shower and call it a night!!!

Awww what a cutsie coffee date :-) Reminds me of when I have TV date nights with my sister and we watch the same show while talking online/texting :-)

Looks like we've been thinking pretty similar. I feel like some weekends I have so much to do that I can't just kick back and relax with my husband. So I'm determined to start making my week more work-oriented and the weekends are for fun, fun, fun!

Best of luck. Hope this works for you, too!

I think that's a great idea, doing different things on different days. That way you can have fun on the weekend without thinking about doing chores :)

I bet if we could buy time, it would be supper expensive and only Rich Folks would be able to afford it.

Either that, or the government would have full control over it.

Great cleaning schedule! I always have good intentions to do the same type of thing, but rarely actually do it. Good for you! We need more time for fun on the weekends and less time for chores!

I agree, time is definitely the one thing that is most valueable, even though it does not have a price.

Shame Time Management isn't a required subject in schools huh? I like to get things out of the way. If it takes a short amount of time, I just do it. Like if you're brushing your teeth you can rinse/wipe up the sink, mirror, bath counter, etc. Same concept for work and home projects. It leaves a little more time for your day.
