A Barefooted Kind of Day

Picture 147

WOW, walking around barefoot all day has completely opened my eyes, and made me so thankful for the shoes I have on my feet everyday. I kept hearing Darius Rucker singing this song….

Cause I've got a roof over my head,
the woman man I love laying in my bed
And it's alright, alright
I've got shoes under my feet
Forever in her eyes staring back at me
And it's alright, alright
And I've got all I need
And it's alright by me

Never take all that you have for granted!!!

Today's eats were LAME! I was running out the door this morning so I just grabbed whatever I could find. I had a mid-morning snack of a sandwich thin, PB and a half of a nanner.

For lunch I enjoyed a can of Annie Organic Ravioli, some Food Should Taste Good Chips, and an Orange. Not so satisfying but I ate it.

After work I had x-country practice, we did an easy 3 miles because they have their first League Meet tomorrow :). I am excited for them, I even made them some goodie bags to wish them good luck! After practice I taught Kickboxing, only three people showed up tonight so we worked extra HARD!!!

When I got home I made myself my typical, but yummy bowl of Monday Night cereal :). Kashi Go Lean, Annie's Honey Bunnies, and some Heart 2 Heart.

When I was picking up the goodies for the kiddos, I also grabbed a few Fall decorations(yes I was barefoot in Wal-mart). “Whitey” (my oven) got some cute hand towels.

and I also got the most festive napkin rings.

Well friends, I made it through another crazy Monday and tomorrow just gets more crazy. I am working early(7am) because I am getting off early for our x-country meet. I haven’t gone in to work at 7am EVER!

Do you work early? Would you prefer to work early?

Nite Nite Friends!

P.S I am all officially registered for the Santa Barbara Marathon, I guess I better start training ;)

I'm pretty lucky because I only go in to a "real" job twice a week right now. But unfortunately I have to catch my train by 7:38, which means being up and at 'em by 6.

And you are a brave soul because I don't think I would brave an American Wal-Mart without shoes. Ever. :)

I like to get work out of the way. I used to think I preferred 2nd shift. Then I worked a 2nd shift job for a while and I much prefer to be off at a reasonable hour! But, I don't think I could be scheduled any earlier than 8 or so.

Great job on this fasting expeirience. I bet it was a little akward walking into Walmart barefoot. Wait, who am I kidding, you were probably the most normal looking chica in the store! :) LOL

I love how you so casually announce that you singed up for the marathon. You seriously rock girl. It is my dream to run a marathon with you someday! ;)

Have a geat day love!

I'm totally a morning person. Being a trainer, I've had many a day where work started at 5:30 a.m. Its great in some ways because I am a morning person, but I miss out on getting personal stuff done 'cause I am completely unproductive at night.

I work 7:30-4 which is perfect to me. I love my schedule, I just wish there were more hours in the day!

You are so brave to go without shoes in walmart!

I can not believe you went to Walmart barefoot. I shudder to think. But I'm in awe that you're committed to this fasting project. I bet it's very eye-opening.

I'm *supposed* to be at work at 8. This usually looks like 8:20 though... Lol. I am so not a morning person. I love to sleep in!

Well, I hope your Santa Barbara training is in shoes! (I was thinking about that race, but I believe it's the same day as Vegas....)

I definitely prefer to start working early. :)

And props to going barefoot all day and TO WALMART. Seriously, I admire you so much. I don't think I would be able to do it.

I try not to take things for granted though sometimes I know I do.

Early to bed, early to rise is how I work. I don't care how stressed I am, at 10 the comp goes off and at 10:40 the lights

I worked early at the hospital, before I wnet back to school. Our shifts were 7a-7p. So I started early and got off late. Not too bad only having to do it for 3 days every week!

That is definitely something that you went barefoot all day!

I work early (start at 6:45). For the most part, I like it, I love being off at 2:30-3ish, but some days, it would be nice to sleep in more.

Happy Training for SB!
