Pet Peeve

Monday Monday Monday..

Morning beauties! I thought I would be real honest with you all this morning about something. I have one major PET PEEVE! If you have follow my blog you know that I am a very busy women, but I am NEVER too busy for family friends. So what’s my pet peeve? When people say, “Oh your just so busy, I know it’s too hard for you to hang out”. The thing that makes me most frustrated is when those people have not CALLED me to hang out and give me a chance to make plans! I love hanging out with people, and I really try hard at making sure I NEVER neglect that time with them.  Ok, sorry my rant is over! I just had to get that off my chest.

Alright on to better and brighter things :). This week I am setting some mini-goal for the week. ENJOY EVERY MINUTE OF EVERYDAY! I know that this is a huge goal, not so mini, but I feel like I have been rushing a lot lately and not truly enjoy the small things in life. So what does this look like?

  • Watching one sunrise this week
  • Lay in bed for an extra 5 minutes before I get up to pray for my day.
  • Bake something for someone
  • Sing in the shower
  • Play with Bosco for at least 10 minutes everyday
  • I need more ideas?????

For breakfast I made a warm bowl of oats.

I made a basic bowl of whipped banana oats and added some wonderful toppings.

  • peanuts
  • small carrot raisin muffin
  • Bobbi’s Granola Greatness
  • sliced banana
  • apple butter
  • scoop of FAGE

Question: What’s one of your biggest pet peeves??

One of my biggest pet peeves is people who sit around watching youtube all day. It's fine for a bit but there's so much more to life

One of my biggest pet peeves is when people don't put as much into a relationship as they expect to get out. I've had a few friendships like that over the years.

My biggest pet peeve is people are inconsiderate. I know that is broad, but a lot of people have really been pissing me off lately for no real reason.

Your oats look amazing! My biggest pet peeve is people who smoke without concern for the people around them.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when people don't really listen to what you have to say. They just want to voice their opinions and ignore your opinions.

Your breakfast combo looks outstanding! My biggest pet peeves is tardiness...especially at work. I am a shift supervisor at work and I cannot stand when people are late for their shifts!

one of my biggerst pet peeves is when people don't answer you. or share what is on their mind. communication is two way. i always say "Can i have an ummmmmm please" (is they say they were thinking)

I like your breakfast combo today. My pet peeve is when I text you and you don't have the courtesy to respond.

Hmmm, I have a similar problem that people think I'm always busy and wouldn't want to hang with them. But more peevier is that they often wait for ME to invite them to something I'm doing! Once in a while I just want to be the guest :)

Being accomplished as a cook apparently is intimidating to people, and I rarely get invited to anyone's house for dinner because they seem to think that they can't cook anything acceptable for me. One thing I am NOT is a food snob! I will eat just about anything- except hot dogs, sauerkraut and liver- , and I love it when someone cooks for ME. I also seem to have this unspoken expectation around anything I bring to a party as having to be something amazing. I can't show up with a bag of chips, or some pre-made hummus. I get the "raised eyebrows" of shock....like no matter what, I should be bringing something fabulous to any party, regardless of what I've been doing all day.

So that's my pet peeve. My skills intimidate people.

my pet peeve is really just the friends that never ever call and make me do all the work.

i enjoy praying at night, but have sort of stopped with all the craziness, good reminder to pick it back up

This is kinda along the same lines as yours but I hate when you're on the phone with someone or whatever and they say, "well, I'll let you go now" like you are so busy and they are doing you this big favor but the truth it it's THEY who want to end the conversation! I don't know why but that annoys me. Just say YOU have to go if you're done talking to me!

That's actually one of my biggest pet peeves as well. I lead a very busy life - and like it that way - but I also wholly value my friends and family, and it drives me nuts when I get in touch with one of them and they say, "Oh, I just assumed you were busy and I didn't want to bother you..." Ack!!

i love your mini goal for the week! I think its amazing! i think alot of people just rush through the day and forget to look at their surroundings!

My biggest pet peeve are slow drivers who drive in the fast lane on the freeway. like seriously? hahah i may or may not have a little bit of road rage! ;)

Praying before I get out of bed is a good one.
Biggest pet peeve would be inconsiderate people. For instance, at my gym, people who clearly have muddy shoes but proceed to walk around leaving their mark.

I have alot of pet peeves, my 2 biggest are litter and poor spelling/grammar.
I am such a litter nazi, I think it so rude, inconsiderate and disrespectful to throw trash anywhere.
I have always been a snob about spelling/grammar, and it drives me nuts that in the college classes I teach, some of the students do not even bother to press spell check, before turning in a paper.
