Marathon Packing List

I got a good 8 hours of much needed sleep last night! I have quite the busy day and do not want another day of tiredness.

To jump start my day I had a Green Monster and 1 Oatmeal Banana Pancake leftover from last night.

Plus a cup of DD!

Not the most exciting of breakfast but I am hoping it will hold me over for the next 4 hours!

Today I have work until 5:30pm then kick boxing, then Thursday night group at 7pm and when I get home I am going to pack for my 3 day trip to San Diego! I am so excited because I just found out that one of my BFF’s D, is going to come down on Saturday and hang out with us and then take me to the race on Sunday!!! I was stressing a little about the traffic in SD and didn’t want to have to find parking, what an amazing friend!!!

I sent this list to Meghann, and I thought I would share it with all of you since I know it helped me in the process of packing for Boston.

What a good list! I am keeping a copy with my other running "stuff" so that I have it "when" I finally get to run a marathon!

Wow! You're so organized with your list. I am the worst packer. I don't even think about it til the night before. And then I stress all night wondering if I got everything.

Have a great time in San Diego! I love going down there! The weather is always great!

I'll be seeing you for the dinner Fri night!

I like to add a couple ibuprofen and a travel size deodorant to the "after-bag" cause I'm paranoid like that. :)

Great list! I HIGHLY recommend Body Glide if you do not have it already. It's awesome for preventing any type of chaffing during long distance runs.

Extra Extra socks are always good in case a sock swap is needed.

Good luck, good luck!

some of my friends gave me good luck cards - including one singing one that sang "im so excited" when you open it. i brought those and had them in my hotel to helped get me pumped 5 am race morning. it was ALMOST like my friends were there cheering for me.

Your smoothie looks like a purple monster. Might taste better that way. Not so scary when it's not green :-)
