Lunch With a Mexican

Did you guys know I was Hispanic? Well half Hispanic half mutt, but whatever. I feel as though the Mexican in me has come out a lot this week!! I have had two burritos, and some Mexican Lasagna!  I actually don’t care for Mexican food, because it is so greasy and fattening, but the healthier version I am in LOVE with!!!

For lunch I brought some leftover Mexican Lasagna, I froze most of it so I can bring it out later in the month.

I had a mini Gala apple and mixed green salad with balsamic vinegar on the side.

I also mixed up my mid-morning snack this morning! I added some PB2 to my yogurt and granola mixture, wow why haven’t I done this sooner, holy yum!!!

I will be doing this a lot more often!!! I think this would have been really good with some mashed up nanners!

I didn’t end up going to Kettlebell class this morning. Besides having some things to do around the house, I knew my body needed the rest. My energy level has been SO MUCH BETTER, thank you all for your sweet words!!! Oh and I don’t think I am prego, but my tummy still isn’t 100% better, I might need to get a food allergy test done.

I have a 5 mile walk planned tonight with my friend Melissa, were hitting up Chipotle again, and I packed my dinner to take a long:)

QUESTION: If you eat something that your body doesn't like, how long would you say it takes to pass through your system?? My stomach has been icky since Sunday.

See you tonight!

It depends on what I ate. Normally if it really doesn't agree with me, I'll have to hit the bathroom and that's the end of it. A day or two max otherwise. If this is going on since Sunday, I'm guessing you're having a reaction to something. Any new foods you tried? Maybe some juice and smoothies for a while to help clear out the system.

You've intro'd wheat back into your diet, could it be that?

It usually takes me 2-3 days to pass it through. I hope you don't have food poisoning!

I've been wondering about the same thing. My stomach is just strange sometimes, but I've never been able to tie it to one food or thing I might be allergic to. Maybe I need a test, too.

I hope you feel better!

normally 2-3 days, depending on what it was AND if if I only had one thing that didn't agree with me. It feels like it took me a whole week to get back to normal after my crazy road trip 2 weekends ago.

Your mexican lasagna looks so good! I will have to make that soon!

As for the tummy issues, I would say a couple days max before I feel better. Usually it's the next day! Hope you figure out what is making your tummy hurt!

YUM! Mexican food can be so good and healthy if you just know the little tweaks you can make to get it healthy!

I am in LOVE with PB2 in my yogurt. I've tried it with some mashed/chunked bananas and it is amazing! It's also great mixed in yogurt with milled flaxseed, actual chopped peanuts, raisons, or dates (probably not all at the same time ;) ). Get creative... it's such a fun ingredient to play around with! :)

I think it really depends on what you ate and how much damage it caused to your system. The worst is usually over after it is digested and "comes out the other end," but many times your system will still be affected afterwards. Hope you feel better soon!

I have Celiac disease/gluten intolerance, but also have several other food sensitivities (onions are a big one...even onion powder or onion juice in a dish). It can take several days to a week for my stomach to normalize after ingesting something I am sensitive to (not referring to gluten here). Gluten is different for me...it makes me sick within 30 min and I am usually back to normal w/in 24 hours.

I hope you can figure it out.

Mexican is awesome. Sometimes you just need some grease!

when you added the pb2 did you just add the powder or mix it with water first like the package says? i just got some samples in the mail and i want to add it to yogurt.

2 or 3 days for me to pass whatever was wrong, drink lots of water and oj-oj does wonders for me when i am not feeling great

I am LOVIN on mexi food right now- Trader Joe's has a can of "cuban style black beans", they are amazing, and already seasoned with spices and bell peppers and onion! I'm 1/4 Puerto Rican :D I need to go there....as for the stomach stuff- in all my bio stuff it says food poisoning type stuff passes in about 24-48 hours, so i hope u feel better soon!

5 mile walk! FUN! Love the pictures

I say it takes me about 2-3 days to recover from the icky stomach feeling, at least 2-3 days till I feel much better. Sorry you feel bad :(
