A Veggie Platter + Last Day of Danskin GIVEAWAY!

I normally don’t do a mid-day post, but I had such a delicious lunch that I just had to share it with you all. I am trying to incorporate lot’s of veggies, besides just a salad( I do love salad) in my diet this week.

A beautiful plate of red and yellow peppers, cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes, and an apple. I had about a cup and half of organic tomato soup from TJ’s.

1

I dipped my ww wheat pita in the soup, and on this cold day(yes it is cold again) it was perfect. I topped my pita with one light Laughing Cow Cheese, it was kinda like a grilled cheese, just kidding.

3

I also dipped my veggies in the best Hummus in the whole world, well at least I think so, TJ’s Tomato Basil Hummus.

2

Do you ever get sick of salad? How else do you get your veggies in if you are not eating a salad?

Everything in your lunch looks fabulous!! If I get sick of certain veggies I switch it up and try to pick up something new at the produce market, or add a fun dressing I'd even fruit to my salad.

I've been lurking for a couple weeks and wanted to finally comment!

I will have to try that tomato soup, you're the 3rd or 4th person I've seen give it a good review recently!

As far as salad goes...I love it as a side to a meal, but not for a meal! I can count on one hand the # of salads I've had as my main meal in the past 15 months as I've lost 96 lbs...that would be 3. I only do it under the most dire of circumstances when I am not planning on going out but then get asked to lunch by coworkers etc...

I eat a serving of fruit and a serving of veggies with my lunch, usually strawberries and then green beans or broccoli, then one of my afternoon snacks is usually a veggie (cauliflower or baby carrots w/ hummus) and then I have another 1-2 veggies with dinner!

I know I need to work on getting more but so far this has been working for me!

Yummy lunch!

I get most of my veggies in with dinner and I switch it up with salads. I like fun toppings like buts, cheese, fruit, ect... to keep things interesting.

Your lunch looks great. I always hated tomato soup when I was growing up. I went through a phase a few years ago where I decided I loved it and ate it all the time. Now I'm back to hating it. Go figure.

Tomato soup is one thing I can't get into. I've tried, but there's something about it.

I'm hosting a giveaway right now, if you're interested!!
