Tuesday Feeding Your Soul: Laughter

Monday night AKB was awesome. I needed a good sweaty exercise after all the Super Bowl FOOD! I thought I might be a little sore after my 13 mile run on Sunday, but my legs are feeling great! I have been doing some stretches that have opened up my hips, I just need to find some good stretches for my IT BANDS, any suggestions????? I also need to get new shoes soon, my little Asics have about had it!

I woke up a little early this morning to make sure I got is some YogaDownload! It felt so needed and so refreshing. I wanted to do it yesterday, but I ran out of time.

I decided to make some Blueberry Oats this morning.

    TIME TO FEED THE SOUL

As I drove home last night, after having a fun chat with my friend Christina, I felt full. Not the kind of full that food satisfies my belly with but the kind of full that leaves me satisfied because of some loving and encouraging friends that I am blessed with. I then thought to myself, what else feeds my soul? What is it that connects me to who I am and brings out the best in who I am, and one word came to mind was LAUGHTER!

What soap is to the body, laughter is to the soul.” ~Yiddish Proverb

When was the last time I laughed, I mean really laughed? Well I am married to one of the funniest guys I know who makes me laugh all the time, and television can usually be pretty funny(when I am not watching Law and Order). I love me some romantic comedy and even just comedy shows in general make me laugh(tactful ones). Why don’t we laugh more often in our everyday lives, why can’t we just be more funny! I love to be around funny people they make my heart smile. I challenge you to laugh for your own soul today, I even hear it burns more calories:)

Doctors say "Laughter is the best medicine " How many times in a day do you laugh? Or is there something in your life that prevents you from laughing....

“The most wasted of all days is one without laughter.” ~e.e. cummings

    WRAPPING UP

I am off to live and laugh today! I am also going to work and then dinner with BFF Danielle:) I need to study for A&P somewhere in there too!!!!

It ends Wednesday, February FOURTH, or Thursday, February FIFTH?? Just throwing that out there for the people that haven't entered yet.

I agree with you about laugter. It CERTAINLY feeds my soul. I know that I couldn't have got through the last three weeks without it. :-)

I have to laugh. If I don't then I start getting down in the dumps. Scott had me laughing so much yesterday, the kind with tears running down my face. :D

Do you have a foam roller? My IT bands give me major trouble, and that thing just saves me. It was recommended to me by a massage therapist, and it really works! I highly suggest getting one if you dont already.

I know a good IT band stretch, so let's see if I can describe it:

Sit on the floor with your legs straight out in front of you. Take your left hand, reach over and grab your right foot (try to grab the pinkie-toe side) then, keeping your back as straight as possible, stretch your leg up and over to the left side. Hold for as long as you can/need to and then switch. I hope that makes sense, because it's worked well for me.

i love laughing. i think it's one of the most natural sounds and one of the most effective pick-me-ups, even to nearby people.

you are sooo adorable! you always have such a HUGE SMILE on your face (or in the middle of laughing) in a picture. :)

My foam roller I purchased for 20$ was the best money I have spent on "gym" equipment. It has done amazing things for my IT band issues.
