HER THURSDAY THINGS TO TALK ABOUT:Races!

Good morning readers, it had been an incredibly rough 24 hours. Not that it has been bad, because it hasn’t it’s just been rough for my BODY! I went back to look at what I ate on Tuesday (thank goodness I keep track), and I had pretty much the same things except for the Soyrizo burrito, and the chocolate pudding. Seeing that I have eaten the Soyrizo before I am gonna go with the chocolate pudding. I am lactose-intolerant but my body can handle a little milk. But I used a lot of milk in the pudding, and other stuff that I haven’t had sence I have been a more health conciouse eater. I stayed home all day yesterday and didn’t eat much but crackers and soup.

Hubby and I tried going out to dinner for our “date” night, I ordered something light but I think it made it worse:( Last night I went to bed around 9:30 hoping to sleep it off, but instead tossed and turned because of the discomfort. I don’t mean to complain so much because it’s not the end of the world, it’s just WEIRD!

This morning I slept in until 7am and have already  hit the bathroom twice (TMI)…I am drinking a cup of coffee and then meeting with runny buddy Rachel for an easy 3 mile run on a trail. I am kind of excited about this, so my stomach needs to shape up!!! I won’t miss work another day, I just hope that I don’t have something serious that I am ignoring.

Enough about me and my tummy let’s talk about RACES!!!!

THURSDAY THINGS TO TALK ABOUT: RACES

I am so missing races these days. The last one that I did was the Mission Inn race in November!!! I usually do one a month so this has left me hungry to get out there. I am the type of runner that wants' to make races part of an adventure. I love to travel for races, it kills two birds with one stone. I get to RACE and TRAVEL, two things I love most. Do any of you runners out there like to do that?

RACES to me motivate me to get out there and run!

I have researched a bit to come up with a list of races that I would love to run this year.

What are you training for????

I am off for a 3 mile run, then work, AKB, and Thursday night community group!!! I have my first quiz in A&P tomorrow so I will be trying to squeeze some studying in there!

P.S. I spoke to GARMIN and they are going to FIX my Forerunner for FREE!!!! Now if I could just get Cannon to fix my camera!

I was trying to take a break from training, but my cousin signed me up for the Ten Mile Club Challenge. It is a competition between the local running groups in MD and is ridiculously hard and competitive. It does not help that my longest run in the past 3 months was only 8 miles.

I'm not much of a runner, so just training for what life has in store. Good Luck with your runs this year!

YEAHHHH SAN DIEGOOOOOOOO Have you run that race before? Just wondering what I need to know.

Personally in the past I rarely raced, I ran just because...but right now I'm focused so races are keeping me going.

Sorry about the tummy, I've been going through a lot of that lately. I think maybe I've developed an allergy, but I can't pin point the cause yet

I am training for the Suntrust National Marathon on 3/21 in D.C. I am running it with my Dad! On 2/7 I am running the Icy 8 hour adventure trail run in Virginia as a way to get some good long miles without all the pounding on the road! I agree with you, I love to have a race to look forward to. If you are ever interested in doing a trail ultra let me know. We will be back in Utah this summer and they have so many amazing trail races out there!

So sorry about your tummy troubles, Bobbi! I hope you feel better ASAP!

And wow--you have quite a list of races coming up. I can't believe how many people are running SD. It's going to be such a party! (And I'm not there. Booo!)

I'm currently training for just ONE race--a half marathon in April. Then maybe a marathon for the fall. I'm still undecided about that one...

Hey girl. Those trail races are in TUSTIN. That is too far for me, other wise I'd be all over it.

Oh I LOVE traveling for races! Its a great "excuse" for an extra vaca :-) I'm planning on running my first marathon at Kitty Hawk, NC at the Outer Banks. Its suppost to be really beautiful and there's lots of running on the beach.

Currently, I am training for my 2nd half marathon as well as keeping a good base going in my tri training.... just in case I choose to do an indoor tri this winter/spring! :)

Wow, that's a lot of races! I'm surrently not training for anything, but as soon as it gets warmer I want to start running outside and then I'll sign up for something.
Great news about the Garmin!
