Need Spunk?

back to history (sorry I have been a slacker)

On this December 2, 1982 Doctors at the University of Utah Medical Center performed the first implant of a permanent artificial heart in a human. Barney Clark lived 112 days with the device.

The work out last night has me a little exhausted, I am so surprised that I was able to fall asleep so easy because I had cup of coffee at 6pm. I normally never drink caffeine in the evenings but I was a little wiped out from my first day back to school. I read as much "At First Sight" as I could then crashed!

AKB

Class last night went well, I have decided that I will make a little video of some great kickboxing tips that you all can do at home. Would any of you be interested in that? Check out what a class looks like with our class video here. I love AKB it really works so much of the body, I don't like it better then running but it comes in a close second. Speaking of running the plan was to run this morning, well originally it was to do spin class but sense we only have one car right now because the other is in the shop I let hubby take the car to go play b-ball with his guys. So that leaves me to go run, but I DIDN'T go! I wanted to really I did, I think that getting back in to the groove after vacation is a little hard. Waking up earlier, eating regularly are things that I love to do, but it's taking some time.

I haven't had breakfast yet I am not hungry which is weird, but I did have a late dinner, didn't eat until around 10pm! I had leftover sweet potato shepherds pie..was even better the second time. I think I will have a bowl of cereal boring but easy at the moment easy sounds good:)

NEW THINGS FOR A NEW YEAR!

Well today I have to think of something new to do. If you know me at all I love ordering the same thing at restaurants, I play the safe card all too often! I try and be spontaneous it just never really happens. So this whole doing something new everyday thing will be challenging but it will get me out of my comfort zone! I need new things in my life, a fresh new pair of eyes, a fresh new outlook on life, newness can be a great thing! hmmm what to do today.......

Christmas shopping! I don't know when I'll have time to start! I may have to wait until the week of when I'm on vacation from work. Hopefully there'll be stuff left in the stores! :-)

When the weather first started changing is when I started getting unmotivated to get out and run. Eventually I got past the blahs because I just can't sit around on my duff. And because I didn't want to go back to the way I used to be. I fully believe that you will get past the blahs too and a few days to get back in the groove is okay. :D

I always play the safe card, too. Order the same exact thing and will even only go to a few select restaurants. I need to break this silly habit.

I love AKB too! Such a good workout, and great cross training for running. I threw out my back doing it last winter, and my schedule hasn't permitted me to do it since then. I miss it.

thanks for the AKB video!!! so cool. i would love an at home try it yourself. i was actually going to go to the gym last night and i never did and i WISH i had so if that is any motivation for you... GO! :) the problem for me last night is that i had originally planned a rest day but then said okay go to the gym, but then i got home and ate dinner so that usually kills the workout buzz. but. it happens! so it ended up being a rest day anyway.

Ugh, I know exactly what you mean about it being hard to get back into a normal routine. Too many days off definitely screwed with my internal clock!!

I love kickboxing ... it's such a great release. When I'm feeling a little fiesty, I break out Tony Horton's Kenpo disc from his P90X series. It's a butt-kicking good time! :)

Thanks for the shopping tips! Time is going by so fast ...

And don't beat yourself up about the morning off from running. You're still a rock star to me :)
