Thanksgiving
Cranberries dripping down my chin
Have stained my pilgrim suit.
I ate too much Thanksgiving day
But I don't give a hoot.
I slurped a pile of dressing,
Gobbled down a turkey thigh,
Dribbled messy cranberries
Devoured some pumpkin pie.
Within me on this special day
It's a thankful heart that beats.
For all the things that I enjoy
But mainly for the eats.

I hope I will pump some more miles after seeing this! By the way, when is the final day for the challenge? the 30th?
I haven't really decided what I'll do tomorrow yet...we shall see what the day brings!
Ok, I will be hitting the streets tomorrow. I am thinking somewhere between 8-10 miles.
Have a great Thanksgiving.
Yay! Its so good to know all these lovelies will be getting up and running on Thursday with me. It makes me feel like I can't let anyone down now!
Whoops! Just noticed you have a more current blog! hi!!
I will be hitting the pavement for at least 10 miles - I might try to bang out a few extra. Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy your run tomorrow.
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one running a long-ish Turkey Trot. (Most of the ones I've seen seem to be 1 mile-5K.
11 miles tomorrow, lady? Wow! I'm impressed!!
Great poem!
Hi Bobbi - I'm planning on doing either 6 or 7 tomorrow. Will need to burn off all those CARBS I'll eat later on in the day. Have a great Thanksgiving!!
How awesome of ya'll!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
xo xo,
Miz who is only running from tense family dynamics and plans to sit on her arse the rest of the day.
I did my 3.4 miles this morning! *hifive* to all who ran today! :D
Good job to everyone who is running today :)
I'm just catching up on my blog reading... so behind.. sounds like you're having a blast in Memphis!! I'm doing the POTM challenge with you too!! :( I've been piling on my miles and added another 6.75 today! Woo!!
Sounds like you had a great Thanksgiving - and 11 miles! That's a great way to start the day! I found out my gym was open and there was an awesome spin class, so I did 80 minutes of spinning and then an easy 3 miles, instead of the 6 miles I had planned. Oh well, I know the spinning doesn't count for POTM, but it was good workout anyway :)
